    Unhappy Where did everybody go??

    Fury....it seems that the only action these days is lvl 80 action. Across the map aint no one hardly no where.

    This sucks. Was there a new MMO release or something?

    People don't do low-level content (that is, dungeons) because it's not worth it. The "level difference penalty" to experience gain makes it close to impossible to get competitive experience from doing a lowbie dungeon - even without getting a lvl 80 to help, it's still pretty likely that you'll get between half and 1 xp from mobs. And lowbie dungeons are pretty hard to do legit with people of appropriate levels (looking at you Main System) also, with lots of hard-hitting trash. The blue items you may or may not get are good, often lasting 10-20 levels, but it's simply not worth the time it takes even so.

    Considering that powerleveling with an lvl 80 in Kheshatta is still possible, I think this penalty system needs to be taken out of the game. At least getting carried through whatever dungeon by a lvl 80 is a more meaningful experience than aoe grinding the same spots over and over again. At the very least it should be drastically reduced, so that it only punishes people who get carried by 80s, and not people who do Sanctum or whatever with a lvl 46 dude in their group.

    no, i don't think so, even if there will be more people, there is no incentive to do them but the low lvl gear.

    i've seen some games that even the max level players do low level raids or instances for loot that can be only obtained there in order to get something else, or even because the gear is good even at max level.
    but here everything is for the 80s... pvp and pve, the road to get to that level in not even important, everyone uses their offline levels to jump from 30 or 50 to 80.
    i don't think there is an easy way to "fix" this but a whole revamp in most the pve stuff. implying is the only method, but is just the one i can think of.
    meh...

    I think it's more a probleme linked to population than actual rewards. People skip low level dungeons because by the time you find a groupe to do them you've leveled up to 80... Otherwise some of them are pretty fun and great to level up. It just takes so god damn long to find 6 people willing and in the mood. And vets just go to Xibaluku to level
    Vali~The Mental Mushroom
    Vehl~The Pink Flamingo
    Vahlie~Redhead's bane
    Tisane~Kettle of Xotli
    Nvah~ . . .

    Fury must be a world of boredom while levelling then.
    It is completely different on Crom: people do low-level dungeons with proper-level characters, and even if one character is eight levels higher or lower, there is still fun in the challenge.
    There is nothing hard doing those, but it does takes little patience that some of the WoW-inspired folk lacks.
    It had been usual or common for me on Crom to do those dungeons and epic instances at least twice on each of my character in a proper or semi-proper (1 character that is +-10 levels) way.
    It is not worth doing those only for people who have a goal of rushing to 80 with offline levels and Kheshatta powerlevelling. I hope there are not many of those, but to each his own.
    • Remove daily rewards and the raid finder;
    • remove membership bonuses;
    • disable PVE XP for daily challenges;
    • remove WBs forever on Crom;
    • slow down the AA gain;
    • lower the PVP XP gain or remove the streak system;
    • remove AoE looting;
    • add the missing mobs back to Khesh., F. of the Dead, and Eigl. Mount.;
    • fix the 250+ms ping;
    • take the key away from Saddur;
    • revert T3, T3.5 (10.21.15), T4 (10.21.15), and GGG changes;
    • remove energy and add skills (like taunt) back.

    Not to mention the language barrier and time zone problems that came with the big merges. Also the expectations of gamers might have changed after getting used to how other games handle things and after khitai. Of course, if you neglect content for years, it will not compare (as content designed by others) well to the devs favorite babies and personal things they added.
    The old instances are meant to take time and focus on communication and atmosphere as well as a certain practice and commitment. Many are parts of the story and have unique looking rewards. But a lot of new players do not KNOW this or do not want this either. Also many guilds nowadays are focused on power and (endgame-)raiding or (80s) pvp, thus encouraging fast levelling (thus making waiting for instances or having multiple chars unattractive) to the endgame, to be of "use" to the guild leaders.

    And as Lunatic said, this is showing the big difference between fury and crom as well. i have seen many ads for low level dungeons throughout the days and even through wb and halloween weeks. Not so on fury...to do low level instances there, you have to be in a guild encouraging this (not many there with the will and population to do this) or get boosted (which takes away the practice and communication usually).

    Even on Crom, most people avoid low level dungeons, for the reasons presented.

    The fact that those dungeons have a load of trash and low rewards is indeed the main issues.
    That amount of trash did fit back in time since the game was not finished at all and FC needed people to waste a lot of times in those dungeons, but now there's so much to do that such cheap time hole has become irrelevant.

    If anything, i'd gladly see the low level dungeons changed a bit, and made with more actual bosses and much less trash (or much less HP). The loot tables also could use some tweaks, with more different armors/weapons models and more items per boss.

    A good exemple is Toirdelbach's tomb. Bosses drop really lame stuff, like 1 item, no armor nor weapon. The last boss is also retarded mechanics wise, it's basically kiting and dps'ing with range dps. What kind of moron designs encounters like that ^^
    I remember going there back in time with a group of the proper level, and this encounter being a pain in the ass, lasting ages, and to get in the end the lamest reward possible, 1 facking crappy ring, and it's always the same !

    Anyway, at the exception of sanctum, low level dungeons are badly made and designed to consume time and drop nothing to slow players progression.
