Thread: New loyalty rewards

    I couldn't care less about the loyalty rewards but unlike many other broken promises this one is part of the membership agreement and you have solid ground to stand on when filing a complaint.

    It will force Funcom to either come out and straight up say 'thank you for paying, but we don't inted to ever work at this game again'. Or go against their own policy and actually work on AoC even if it is just a minute to add loyalty rewards. Either way it will be clear where they stand and if they have any expectations for AoC in the future whatsoever or just wait for the playerbase to decline far enough to shut down the server.

    Unfortunately, I don't think you'll see much happen from that. The BBB is not affiliated with the government in any way. And Funcom is relatively smart in this type of business. The BBB it's just a dispute resolution service. They themselves have been under investigation for corruption in a number of other things over the last 10 years or so. Not many people actually see them as a reputable service these days.

    I am intrigued and hope you do, in-fact, get some good response.

    Funcom has been BBB Accredited since 2009, so they have some incentive to respond and address my complaint. Funcom has also responded to the recent complaints to the BBB related to the SWL launch that were really just complaints about poor customer service instead of a breach of a membership agreement, so it is unlikely that Funcom will ignore this inquiry.

    Let me play devils advocate and share with you a link about the BBB . It's a 20/20 investigation into the corruption and how companies pay membership fees to get A+ ratings. When I say devils advocate, I mean to say why would Funcom even care at this point if they know that the BBB is corrupt and always under investigation?

    Again, I hope you do get some resolution. But if I were in their shoes I would just blow you off.
