So what about the feedback thread for SC? And the other pressing issues that have had zero response...

If the patch notes had included the information that removing a gem is still possible if the item is in the backpack, the confusion and bickering would have been avoided.

But instead, one can also decide to mock people that misunderstood an unnecessarily hard to understand message. For the lulz.

"Gems can no longer be removed from an equipped item." - what the hell is hard about it?

I can get 2 meanings from that. Gems can not be removed from currently equipped item, or gems can no longer be removed from an item once it has been equipped. The patch notes could be more clear.

    That would have been:

Gems can no longer be removed from a bound item.
    Short cuts make long delays.

Adding a simple clarification would have avoided confusion. It's like adding rubbers to pencils. People make mistakes - it's wise to prepare for that.

Communication has never been Funcom's strong suit. Notice that the changes to the first boss in SC didn't even warrant a passing mention in the patch notes.

For that matter the whole process of removing a gem is not exactly intuitive. Sure I know how to do it as does everybody I play with but in most cases that's from asking somebody else.

I just saw someone asking on Global if Tainted Alkahest still works - I guess another clarification is needed.

Yeah, that must be one of the most often asked questions since it was introduced. With another level of complexity added, that'll entertain us for years to come.
