Can't see login screen, only a background

Hello

I just reinstalled the game as soon as I heard about the new changes, but i can't make it to the login screen. The launcher works correctly, but as soon as I click play, the game opens, and all I see is the background image, the one you see when you click on a cimmerian character, but thats it. No login, no characters, anything, just that image. Any ideas?

First step would be to do a repair.

Try removing any customized UI from Age of Conan/Data/Gui folder (if you have any installed). Only leave the Default folder in the Gui folder.
Then run Repair Broken Data from Options in the launcher.
It will take a few minutes at least, but then you should be back on standard installation and hopefully save a complete reinstall.

I received help from official support (BTW - it was almost immediate, the fastest help i've ever got in MMOs :P), I'll post here a solution, maybe more people will need it:

1) Open Windows Explorer

2) In the address/location bar, enter %LOCALAPPDATA%

3) Navigate into Funcom\Conan

4) Rename the Prefs folder into Prefs_old

5) Temporarily disable your anti-virus and go to your Age of Conan install
folder

6) Under Data is a folder called "GUI". Please delete this

7) In your Age of Conan install folder right click on PatcherSetup.exe and
run it as an administrator.


I don't know how game will work further, but at least I can login
