stalker of shadows quest help

Hi,
I'm new to AOC and having problem with the stalker of shadows quest to teach your tiger how to hunt. I keep failing after going to the mark spot on the map that triggers the completion of moving away from the altar and observing. I'm not seeing any white tiger spirit to follow. I'll be grateful for any help with this. thanks.

This one is a bit tricky and it's been a long time since I did it so... hopefully I remember fairly accurately.

There's a couple of panthers near the shrine that it's probably best to clear beforehand. When you move away from the shrine to observe go West. The spirit will spawn at the shrine and start walking North'ish. You don't need to hide, just follow the spirit without getting too far away or too close. If you get attacked by something along the way keep moving after the spirit as you fight so it doesn't get too far away. After a bit the quest should update.

There might be a youtube video of it but I didn't see one with a brief search.

Success after I found out that my problem was that I had the video setting set to low which made it difficult to see and follow the spirit. thanks!

Well, can someone explain it to me? I spent 2 hours on this. I killed everything around it, the boss twice. I stood in each of the 4 corners. I have my graphics on high. The timer starts, and I just stand there...and stand there...and stand there

So there IS a trick here! Every freakin quest, one little gotcha that is never explained, or even hinted at

After you trigger the shrine if you follow the quest it says some like "move away and observe". If you open your map and have indicators on there is a "X" on the spot you need to stand to observe. It is a short way away from the shrine to the right "east" and I believe in the water, right next to one of the panthers.

I come from the South (near the entrance to CP) and I kill the Panther to the South and East of the shrine. Then trigger Shrine and stand on the "X". When the tiger spawns, it's a standard escort quest - just stay with him. He heads back South and slowly walks. There might be a patrolling mob or two you may have to get around and I believe 1 spitter plant you need to stay out of range.

Not always. There is something that must be done prior to walking up to that statue.
