No more full nudity and no more opening movie? I haven't played since 2007, but seems like a lot of drastic changes. Anyone know when this took place?

Nudity is there. Check your version on register.ageofconan.com .- Remove daily rewards and the raid finder;
- remove membership bonuses;
- disable PVE XP for daily challenges;
- remove WBs forever on Crom;
- slow down the AA gain;
- lower the PVP XP gain or remove the streak system;
- remove AoE looting;
- add the missing mobs back to Khesh., F. of the Dead, and Eigl. Mount.;
- fix the 250+ms ping;
- take the key away from Saddur;
- revert T3, T3.5 (10.21.15), T4 (10.21.15), and GGG changes;
- remove energy and add skills (like taunt) back.

I know there were some old mods that allowed for full nudity.

I always have the option to see the cut screen: it will show up if you don't fast forward "click next" through the funcom/etc screens after you load the game.

When you first open the game folder, it should switch to some cut screens (funcom emblem, etc): if you push 'next' to bypass these cut screens then you will not get to the movie cut screen.
The movie is not shown every time you go to the character selection screen, it only comes up when you first reboot the game engine.
