Running out of memory running AOC

Very often when running the game on a Windows 8.1 Samsung ultrabook, I get the following popup error:

I notice that this occurs because the memory Commit Charge on my machine (as viewed through the Resource Monitor) steadily rises while the client is running until it hits 100%, at which point I get this error.

I have already upped my page file to 8GB (to match the total RAM in my machine).

Any ideas what is causing this and how to fix?

Isn't there an option to run a 'helper' program in the launcher options to reduce memory leaks? Check Apply System Tweaker & try again.

I figured out that this only occurs when game is running Fullscreen. Windowed mode has no problems, so I'm guessing it may be video driver related.

Do you use AOC Quickstart?
Or do you usually start the game and afk while the game checks its files coming back later and just clicking the green start button?

I ask these questions cause shortly before the green start buttons is displayed in the launcher window a windows message box pops up asking for admin permission to run a system tweaker. This tweaker comes with aoc and is supposed to change windows handling of larges files in regards of caching.

Running the game without the tweaker changing these settings will cause the system to run out of memory sooner or later.

AOC Quickstart may skip the tweaker depending on it's settings.
If you are afk and do not click the yes button, the windows popup will time out sooner or later and disapear, so the tweaker is not started.

The tweaker needs to be run once per windows session.
So if you start the game after a windows reboot make sure to start with the official launcher and to have clicked "yes" on the windows popup message at least once.
After that you may use the quick launcher for further restarts of the game as needed.
