Man Hunt

Somewhere North :

One : Y've heard ?
The other : Heard what ?
One : A thief stole an Idole of some sort from Northeners... they've promised a great reward to anyone who would find it for them and an even greater one for the thiefs head on a pike !
The other : Too bad you don't know where to find the bloke aye ?
One : Well... i bet my left arm he'll take the old smuggling pass through Cimmerian end. Worth a look !

Date : Next week, exact date has been sent to intrested peoples in PM and IG.
Time : Start at 21h30 CEST (Berlin, Paris, Madrid,... time)
Duration : First round will be of an hour. If people have fun and stay shorter ones might follow
Zone : Cimmerian End
Groupes : Groupes of 6 – A vs B vs C …

Goal : Loot the Idole and escort it to 4 altars. See the map

Start of the Game : I, with either my ranger or my hox, will stand with the Idole of Bori inside the T3 spot (rock of crom). The other groupes (including mine) will start from diffrent points of the map approximately at the same time away from T3. Two possibility, my team arrives fast enough to rescue me, or on of the other groupe is faster and steels the idole.

Now, who ever gets out of T3 with the Idole needs to carry it, first to the village altar, then to the observation point altar, then to the forest altar and finally to the warcamp altar in this order ! When you arrive at an altar you need to capture it before you move to the next one. Between the altars you can chose what ever route you want be it a direct one that might be faster but more risky or a longer one that could be safer.

The other groupes not in possession of the Idole will try to loot it. Once they have, they need to escort it to the altars. The groupe that will have done the most rounds wins the game. The other groupes are free to deal with each other as they want. Temporarily ally to each other to take down a strong escort groupe or on the contrary take out the competition and attack the carrier alone.

Rules:
When you have the idole:

• You need to link it on the Cimmerian channel. So everyone know who is carrying it.
• Mounting up isn't authorized while carrying the idole.
• Going in hide isn't authorized while carrying the idole.
• You are allowed to exchange the idole to other players of your groupe. However the new carrier needs to link it on Cimmerian Channel.

Other Rules:

• Once again, lets avoid making it a swimming contest.
• Rez pots aren't authorized. But battle rez and self rez are.
• Avoid fighting near rezpads

Teams and gear Balancing:

• No more than two tanks in a groupe : would be appreciated if none came with full tank specs.
• Groupes should have a maximum of 40 total PvP level.

Details:

As usual, we will be fighting in an Open-World zone, we will have to deal with diggers as much as with uninvited hunters. It's part of the game and we all need to accept it. If you need to capture an altar that's held by diggers... well … tough luck... you'll have to gank the diggers first !

In case the Idole is lost to a groupe of uninvited hunters that doesn't follow our rules (read destroyes it) back up idoles have been made to continue the game.

Though there's a target and something to do during this event, keep in mind that as in all PvP events, it's only an excuse to have some nice fighting ! What i mean is don't care too much if you win or lose, just try your best and to have fun fights. Cimmerian End is great for that. Many places are great to set ambushes, many places are good to fight against the odds, find them and use them !

Note: having a ranger isn't compulsory but is highly recommended.

Not as many as expected where driven to the Border Kingdoms to retrieve the stolen Idole. I guess they didn't trust Northerners to give up the reward.

Nonetheless ! Some showed up and after a while the Idole was dropped by Loups Solitaires and picked up by an allied party of Clan of the Free City, The Law, Vergessene Helden and Night Watch. Tombstone and Loups Solitaires, fought fiercely to get it back but failed, distracted by a raid of the barbaric tribe Black Steel.
In order to fight the new unexpected threat, the thieves and bounty hunters gathered up and fought their way out of the Border Kingdoms.

Was the idole dropped and destroyed by the barbarians ? Was it hidden ? Was it smuggled out of the Border Kingdoms ? Tormir is the one to question if you seek answers...

Thanks to all of those who joined. I was expecting more groupes, but summer slack... nevermind ! As usual hope everyone had fun.
Next events will be in Septembre, hopefully with more people.

I think for future u need a bit increase pvp level cap to 45 at least, was struggling finding last guy coz of it

Usually the times when groupes struggle to fill up we just forget about PvP level cap so we can start fighting fast
