Post explains but doesn't justify imo. The damage has been done.
You want a healthy community gathering in your precious raid finder for what reason? Do you get a larger bonus or a pat on the back?
I get the strong feeling you've never played this game at all...
"In addition, we will be giving out most of these items for free in the membership change update."
Maybe the item shop should had been released at the same time as the membership revamp? It would make a lot more sense to do it at the same time.. Right now most things are unjustified, crit pots 5% for 4h was 45 points, Now we get 7% for 200 points for 4 hours..
Good luck with finding new subscribers.
The reply about selling raid gear... I don't know if I should laugh or cry. You want to encourage more people do raids so you technically kill all lower tiers raids where people are able to learn raid basics.
What about idea to change loot tables and sell potions allow better loot chances in these raids? You would get money and people would be able to speed up their way to obtain gear for more difficult raids without grind, but still learning something...
I want more people to play the game so that the community is large and there are more people for the current community to play with. A single player MMO doesn't sound that interesting to me :) Also more people playing keeps the revenue of the game high which directly impacts how much development budget we can spend improving the game.
Just shows how detached and clueless you are about your own game. No one wants a noob with full T4/5 character in their end game raiding squad, it is skills and class knowledge that matters. No amount of gear bought from the shop would make them any useful.
Keep pay to win **** in your game go go go.
But thanks for clarifying, I am definitely done with this game and moronic company.
The XP and PVP XP speeds have already been insane. Instead of addressing the insane speed of gaining, you are making it worse. That is not nice.
The same as above. Reduce the gain level to the one that was 2012-2013 and remove those rewards that everyone gets at the end of the T1-T2 raid.
Then you will need to buff all of the mobs and bosses. Are you ready for that? The AA gain is already ridiculous.
Now, that feels like some lousy mobile smartphone game. Bejewelled Conan! Now, with daily gems! That explains the new UI design.Quote:
We will also be introducing a daily login bonus and daily challenge system that will have free items for everyone (F2P and members). The daily reward bonus can be claimed once a day and includes shop exclusive items like the new shop potions, teleport coins, resurrection potions, gilding tokens and a lot of other great items. The daily challenge system will include a list of challenges that will reward you with similar items to those listed above.
That will work if you buff up the instances to the pre-nerf states and keep the current ones for the casual raid-finder teams. Give only vanity items for those teams.Quote:
The raid finder will also be launching at the same time that we roll out the membership changes. Each week you will be able to group up with your fellow members and fight through one of nine raid instances (made up of the already existing zones). We will launch with some unique rewards that are only available from this system and will be adding new rewards every few months.
Welcome to WoW!Quote:
2) Why are you selling so much power in the store?
There are two main reasons for this. The first is that raid participation has been decreasing over the past few years and we were receiving a lot of feedback from new players that they found it hard to get up to the point where they could contribute in the higher Tier raids. We wanted to make it easier for our newer players to catch up with people that had been playing since launch. The second is that we will be releasing the Raid Finder very soon and we want to make sure that the amount of people that participate in that is as big as possible. We have some pretty cool rewards lined up to give out with the Raid Finder so it is important for us that we have a large healthy community participating in it.
Overall, a nice spit in the face of veterans. Thank you!
Well the time for that was 6 years ago friend. I am sure you can see what the numbers are and its been a steady decline pretty much since launch. I don't believe the "raid finder" is the answer you are hoping it to be nor is this membership revamp.
People want actual content. Raids, dungeons, pvp-mini maps, large play fields etc... they also want to the game to work (bug fixes) and not feel like a robbery from the outstanding item store prices.
Bridging the gear gap between vets and new player solves literally nothing. Gear doesn't equal skill. Most people will notice you don't seem to be real familiar with what players want.
