link to steam

Im hoping somebody has an answer to this. Ive made many purchases on the store in the past but the other night while trying to get an expansion I purchased cash on my steam wallet went to the FC site to purchase and while checking out no link to my steam account and got a message submit payment failed. This has never happened before. It always pops up the steam site when you confirm the purchase and as its not doing this I'm wondering if somehow my account became unlinked. Any thoughts?
