Example of what is SR4? During the first mission you jump on a ICBM that just took off (to disarm it of course), Aerosmith's "I don't wanna miss a thing" plays in the background and your party members say goodbye speeches...
SR4 plot/humor are parodies of other popular games/themes. Early versions were inspired by GTA but goes so far beyond that now. It pays homage and pokes fun at the Mass Effect series, the Matrix, and super heroes. Even though the game doesn't take itself too seriously its gameplay is excellent. Playstyle is open ended - hard not to have fun screwing around with different weapons/powers. They also crammed pretty much everything into one game... in addition to the FPS portion, there's racing, puzzles, vehicles/robots... even traveling is enjoyable mixed in with gathering of resources (code clusters) enroute to where ever you're heading. Good variety to keep you entertained for a while.
