Operation timed out, please try again later.

Every time I logout (waiting 15 seconds) this error shows up in red text for a fraction of a second: "Operation timed out, please try again later.". After that it just logs into the character screen as usual, certain things aren't being saved. This includes the size and position of the extra hotbars, the interface options, and also the armor worn on the character screen. My character appears to wear the armor I wore several months ago.

It is really annoying having to adjust settings and the UI every time I log on, as well as not having my character properly displayed at the character screen.
This has been here a few months now.

I saw that someone had found a workaround on the EU forums by deleting chat tabs, changing the settings, logging out, logging in and creating the chat tabs again. I tried this and it worked. This means that it has something to do with having many chat tabs/windows, and knowing that might make it easier to fix. I hope to see this bug patched in the next update.
