    ^This.

German forum is dead anyway because of the lack of official presence. Most german speaking players are posting in the english section, because this is the forum where you will get answers, or at least some reaction from official site.

tbh, as a french player, i consider thoses community letters/updates translations as a special luxury we kept since the old days. Since we lost our dedicated servers 2 year ago, remaining players have to know at least some basic english to fully enjoy the game...

And the part of french community, among the totality, is kinda depressing compared to what it was before the 2011 server merge. Just, look at the activity of french AoC official forums and you get the idea.

But in the other hand, having letter this week or the next week won't change anything about the delay of real content updates. Having the letter 1 week later is still 1 week less in the delay between content annoucement and content update

you know tarib, if this would really be the first time funcom did that, this would be another story. but funcom didnt care about that the last 5 years, why now?
If you check the publish dates of every past official letter from an AoC game director (Craig or Joel), you will see that every time the information was published in English, German and French at the very same day. So you could indeed say that it is an official Funcom policy to do so.

I am CLEARLY! not talking about the letter only. I was talking about information. Like patch logs and stuff. and i am not even mentioning all the interviews in english with lots of information.

Interviews are made by language specific magazines or websites. So those are made available in the respective language.
A few Update Notes translations in the past had been published in German and/or French delayed, that is true. That was because the actual fixing of issues those updates included could not be held off because of translation tasks. But whenever possible, information is made available for all supported languages at the same time. I fail to see why this should be a wrong approach.

Some fairly big bits of the GD letter are covered here anyway. More details in the GD letter of course.
