It's amazing that you were even able to use a 1070 on such an ancient motherboard. You are so CPU bound on any game out there with that setup it's not even funny. Hopefully that's a temporary move before you upgrade your CPU and mobo/ram, otherwise you wasted a large amount of cash on a beast of a GPU. And there is a huge difference between 30, 60, or even 100fps (although the average monitor only displays 60). Feel free to type 30 vs 60 fps in Google and stare at things such as : http://www.testufo.com/#test=framerates or http://30vs60.com/ (actual game examples)

Expert Shield of the Risen opener.
I'm running a 1080 GTX paired with the Acer Predator 34" 4k monitor and this game looks absolutely amazing! There is a huge difference coming from my older 24" 144Mhz 1080p Acer monitor. It's hard to believe this game was released in 2008 with these kinds of graphics, the level of detail in 4k is just crazy! After having experienced games with a 4k monitor, I'll never go down in resolution. I did have to edit some config files to make the fonts and other parts of the UI bigger and after doing so it looks much better now that everything is up to scale. I'm blown away by how much difference this monitor has made. My frames hang around 90 for the most part.
