    Default [Hoard of the Afterlife] - bugs (again)

    I found out today that the new Hoard of the Afterlife suffers from the same bugs as the previous one. It drops "Character Bound" "Can Only Have One" items. Just like before, this should never happen and effectively means my box only dropped 1 item instead of 2.

    One item I have seen so far is the epic [Mini-Pet: Arch Lector].

    It is beyond time for this kind of problem to be fixed. Fix the "Can Only Have One" bug or quit making items from these itemshop boxes have "Can Only Have One" items in the loot tables.

    It is supposed to drop 2 Temporary Facepaint: Corpse Mask for every box. It does not drop any.

    Hood of the Hallowed Night (social item) is listed as an Epic Item. It is actually a Common Green item.

    The heading for the Common Green items is missing a line break and so shows up as "Rare Pets Common".


    I should learn to just never buy these boxes for a few weeks/months after they come out so Funcom can fix their problems, that is of course assuming they ever find out before the boxes are removed from the item shop.

    Well that is a pleasant surprise Sezmra, I wasn't expecting an official response on the forums.

    I've already submitted a petition to see if there is anything a GM can do. If that doesn't work I'll go to help.funcom.com.

    Do people get a refund or something like that for boxes that were already bought and opened? I mean they just bought something that is broken.

    When it happened with the previous boxes, I think a GM deleted the duplicate "Can Only Have One" and gave me it on another character. This was before they changed those items to be trade-able. The GM also gave me the missing extra items (I think it was a drink) like the current "Temporary Facepaint: Corpse Mask" were you always are supposed to get 2.

    I think there was another issue which they never would acknowledge or fix, but I don't remember right now.

    In short, I doubt you will get a refund, but they may mostly make it right eventually if you keep pestering them.

    On another note, the Hoard description says:
    "Temporary Facepaint: Gothic * 5"
    If this means you are supposed to get 5 facepaints each time the Gothic Facepaint drops, then it is bugged as you only get 1.

    Upon further investigation, we've pulled the bag from the shop for the time being to prevent further frustration. I realize it's no fun to spend your points on an item and not get what you paid for; we'll be addressing the matter in as timely a manner as we can to assist those that did purchase the bags.

    I want to update anyone else who has bought these boxes and are missing items. A GM said sometime in the next 24 hours or so, our characters should automatically be updated with all the missing items that should have dropped for us.

    As for the "Character Bound" "Can Only Have One" items, we have to wait and see what if anything Funcom will do about that.

    And please for the love of god don't hotfix it tonight. Halloween is next week isn't it? Would be very frustrating if you take servers down tonight.

    Here's an update!

    Those that purchased the box should now have the missing items in their claims or inventory if they were online during the fix. Be sure to check both your character's inventory and claims! The hoard has not been added back to the shop at this time.
