    what is nostalgic, incoherent, utterly unusable about adding a sign up sistem for all the already ingame arenas?

    why is it so hard to fix the sign up bug for minigames its been there over a year?
    some classes need to have some abilities balances and some like necromancer need full revamp.
    how many threads about pvp balance bettewen classes and how bad pvp gear is before you act?

    you guys were so keen to nerf blue pve weapons in days for coils yet takes years of people being ignored before you can even say a word reguard class balancing and revamping pvp gear /weapons so they are good for pvp.

    you cant sweep the lack of pvp content and all the broken things under the rug and make yet another server with no pvp content

    I used to play EQOA online...the devs on that game were very upfront with what they could do but then the players got nasty at them... and the devs backed off and the game just stopped.

    They actually ran it for about 3 years with no updates, the exact same monsters to kill (on timers for the entire game to boot). It finally got the plug pulled after about seven years (I was in AOC by then, left when they disbanded their version of the test guild which I was part of). So I could see the drop in programming up to when the devs got pulled out entirely and there just was not anything left besides basic maintenance.

    Nagging at him isn't going to help out the game. That's my two cents on this whole bashing thread.

    You want sugestions Joel, well here is one:

    Put all pvp servers together, including b&g. Add tortage pvp back and give every character that hits 80 the full tier 1 pvp suit and pvp weapon with an extra 50 aa points(added to the 80 you get for leveling).

    ALL pvpers will be together on one server with ALL available pvp and pve options.

    Any new 80 will have gear and aa ready to compete. While not perfect, it will be as close to instant pvp at 80 as possible, like it was pre-1.5.

    Every niche will have it's place on this server, tortage, minis, even bori.

    Then add new pvp content asap, and work on balance EVERY patch, such as necro dots die with necro, tone down soldiers, etc.

    Make people WANT to log in to pvp in aoc again!

    All just my opinion, but doing some merges and unlocking all the rules on this one server will be easy, and smply adding gear and aa can't be that hard. Work on harder stuff after this is done.

    IMO, the Hyborian Race just seems like a stupid idea for PVP.

    And remove Guards....... i refuse to pvg (player vs Guard)

    and back on subject - Trying to find a way to like the new B&G sever idea and all i can come up with is .. Give every one a 80 and let the race be to first pvp 5 then pvp 10 . I just cant see my self pveing to 80 any more

    Hyborian Race seems to b a bad idea but i support it
    It will cause temp increase in pop on BnG Servers
    Doing after Merge will make sure that increase in pop is noticable
    An improvement will b PvE XP gain from PvP

    1. Guards: Combat initiated outside of a guards range will no longer provoke a guard response if the combatants move into a guards range while in combat.

    This means that if you are fighting outside of a guards range and someone guard hugs. The guard wont do anything. HOWEVER! If you attack a player near a guard thats handing a quest in for instance then he's attacked inside the guards range, and the the guard will be provoked. Guards can serve a useful purpose. And if funcom ever add a working consequence system they can augment pvp instead of detracting from it.

    Took 5 seconds to think of that.

    Yes that's a point of view but well we had an alliance we forced to come to 4 to 5 raids a week, if they overbid us to hide a keep we would force them to PvP by racing them to win the right to attack. Do that during two months and see how the more PvE oriented players a big guild host reacts (even if their keep stays up).

    An other possibility, take a powerfull PvP guild who has little competition already with small numbers and absolutely none when it comes to 48 vs 48 fights and see how they hold all the keeps. Be it buy storming down weaker guilds keep every week preventing them from levelling up or just holding them all with ghost/alt guilds.

    Both these situations happened rather often in my 5 years on AoC, that's why i don't really see this as a consensual content. Unlike Khesh raid fights where nothing forced anyone to come fight there besides pride.
