Level 80 one handed axes

I have a fascination with axes. Can i use only those from 1-80 and at max gear level?

Well, probably the best (stat wise) 1 handed edged weapons are swords (T4 raid weapons), but don´t worry, there are a lot of axes thru the game, on max level as well (T1-3 raid weapons, cultural crafted weapons etc.). You can use all kinds of axes (1H, 2H) as a barb and conqueror, conqs prefer 2H swords for tanking later in the game (mostly because of +hate and other tanking stats, rather than overall funcionality).

So there are no axes that match up with the best swords at 80?

both axes and swords are classified as edged weapons (1HE or 2HE) and can be used by their classes, it´s only that FC decided to change the "skin" of 1HE raid weapons from axe to sword after all those years .. anyway, as a F2P new player I wouldn´t really worry about it, since it´s still pretty distant goal for a fresh Tortage castaway also that T3 axe is still a very nice piece of gear wanted by a lot of people, that are waiting for it
