Anyone who defends the gear inbalance that exists today is just totally clueless.
I have seen plently of crap players who only do marginlly well because of their grinded gear, and plenty of decent new players who get slaughtered but would do 5x better than those same older players if they had the equall gear.
This will be the best move Funcom could ever make, since it will help seperate the players who actually make a difference other than the ones who think they make a difference.
I can't wait to personally get on a fully geared ranger and show how easy it is to sh1t on people within seconds of playing it and not having to grind anything to do it. Sounds great to me.

Ummm...wow someone crying over getting even gear? You will still have the opportunity in regular mini games to have more gear than anyone else, but I pretty much think more people will be playing unchained mini's. There will be no excuses then whether you lost over gear. Honestly the people that are doing good in mini's will still be doing good is what I believe, because there is a level of skill there, despite having WORSE gear than some of the pve'ers that play minis.
Also, if you are in open world, your hard work toward mini game progression isn't ruined either. You will still have regular gear (if you are in pvp server...if not maybe after this you need to move to one). These things are only positive in my eyes.
Reducing the gear dependency in PvP is awesome.
I really can't wait for it, finally new and/or casual players will be able to survive more than 1 second in mini so they can actually put up a fight.
On a side note, preparing pop corn for the wave of QQ coming from Bori farmers.
its just pity for ppl to continue referring to an error that the person who wrote it said it was a mistake and changed it in his post especially when this post has info & replies from game director him self about the updates to come.
On topic.Thnx for the replies Joel. We all thought that there would be changes in the update flowchart Craig posted some months ago. But nevertheless giving old world dungeons unchain version is really great! As I lvled a new char recently(along with other guildies) I was really fun to do runs in all those great dungeons of the old world. I am really hoping to get something for pvp too. But as you said we are awaiting for the letter of the month![]()

Please fix the T4 ID exploite! It was reported at least once on TL forum several weeks ago. Heck just place a few GMs in the room after the Emperor and they can watch it day by day.
Should be quite easy, just let the second ID start with the emporer.
Maybe it's too late anyways with so many people having equipted their seventh blue-geared Alt with some nice T4 weapons and rings.
Watch the credits for any game that isn't an indy. Count the number of people in marketing. Divide that by 10. You might be somewhere close to the number of people we have in marketing.
Do you know how hard it is to get journalists to write about games that aren't the "new shiny thing". Seriously. It isn't a matter of going to journalists with articles and them just throwing them up.
Which do you think gets more page hits for a web site, an article about AoC or an article about the shiny new elder scrolls game based on a 10 million selling franchise?
Considering we stopped printing boxes for the game years ago...I mean you can hardly fault the guy.
Marketing a new MMO is not the same as an older MMO. It's much much harder to get anyone to pay attention at all.
Do you realize what game is being played? Or are you one of the many players who left Age of Conan, and just pops his head into the forums to simply try and make some form of impact on a game that you hope to one day come back to, should it ever be good enough for your presence? This game is a progression based game, anyone who dislikes progression has long since left Age of Conan, and the people still playing remain because that's what the appeal is about the game. So unless Funcom is trying to attract new players in on a gamble of displeasing the old player base, I do not see this as a good idea. In my guild I do not know of anyone who actually PVP's and plays regularly who finds this new change appealing.
