Today Age of Conan Vault features a new interview with Craig Morrison, Funcom's new Age of Conan Game Director. During the two-page Q&A Craig talks about his past work on the Vault Network, the jump from Anarchy Online to Age of Conan, life in the spotlight, DX10, instancing, the PvP consequence system and more

"Many players have remarked that AoC's gameworld is the best they have ever seen, but the constant instancing ruins the game for them. Can you address player's complaints about too much instancing in AoC? Is there anything Funcom is looking at in regard to making upcoming content, including the expansion, a more seamless game experience?

Craig Morrison: We made a conscious choice to use a non-seamless world vey early on. It's what allows us to crate the visually stunning and diverse world that you find in Age of Conan. It simply wouldn't be the same game without it. So it's unlikely you will see any major differences there. It's a double edged sword as it were, to get that level of detail everyone loves in the game you have to sacrifice somewhere and having the game divided into zones is the sacrifice in this case. Maybe as and when the hardware technology continues to advance you might see us be able to address that in some ways, but it's nothing you are likely to see anytime soon..."
