No idea why Funcom do so with aoc, maybe idea is just wait enough people lose interess for it so can close it. Funcom is bound to the licenze so maybe just cannot close aoc until it produces an active balance. Anycase do nothing is better then do wrong things, onestly. Looking the latest additions, a T5 obtained by recycling pieces of game, bad balanced and made in a rough and superficial manner, same thing for vanaheim, arena that give better neck in game IN SOLO IN ONE MMO (look the contradiction) and last but not least, Raidfinder, which literally ruined the game, lowering both the quality of the game and the players and maked useless any previous content on the T4. If they have to give us other pearls of this quality, it is better that they add nothing more!!!

Funcom lost interest in Age of Conan, yes; they continue to run it because people still purchase items through the item shop and premium time, every penny counts and still serves as a promotion to Conan Exiles. Around one to two years previous to their non-public official announcement that the game was not to receive more updates, they added a few things that require players to log in every day, week or month, to get the 'amazing rewards'.

Creating a 'cycle effect' with Age of Conan and Conan Exiles should work well. While their interest is to have most of the income coming from Conan Exiles - a game turned more to the PvP aspect - to justify their move to the company shareholders, having Age of Conan - all around game with a lot of PvE - still running, can help those who are new to Conan/Funcom to jump to Age of Conan from Conan Exiles, because they enjoy the game graphics but are more interested in PvE (we can see people new to the game enquiring which Class to go to and if worth investing in the game - A: Nope!)

AoC revamped in the Unreal engine after Exiles is released; FC now have the talent after two games, and I'd be only to happy to restart afresh. Use the old mechanics we love, with tried and true characters plus some, in a new more future-proofed developer (and mod!) environment. Here's fifty cents crowd-funding to get you started.

And yes, keep the combo-system (give all toons some sort of interesting and useful ranged/melee/combo/spell as well).

And maybe with slightly less follicle manipulation (combing....duh)
