I dont wanna contribute to Funcom's Income, but im considering going crom scratch my pve itch

Fury P.V.E. is pretty bad...
I've gotten some 6mans done or attempted with my guild, but this is at most once a week. As for raid finder... that's not real pve.

aoc is as dead as you want it to be/if Sidar wanted to make progress raids on fury, I think he could.

Hjacking the post instead of creating a new one, sorry Sidar.

Haven't played at all in something like two years now and wondering what's new especially regarding PvP.
Any meaningful change to the combat system or classes ? Any content added ? Do the new gear tiers make it too tedious for a comeback without grinding ? Any somewhat regular premades or PvP events ?
I'm guessing that the population hasn't increased so are minis still popping ? Is there still an active player base or not ?

I've been missing open world PvP... would be great if it was possible to have some casual fights now and then

I think they tweaked a couple classes but nothing major.

They added the PvP Festival which lasts for 7 days beginning every 3rd tuesday of every month and ending the following tuesday. This consists of world pvp activities and daily quests in one world zone chosen randomly.

Things like Solo deathmatch, team deathmatch, Flag domination. Chosen of ghullah(a random player is granted a super buff which makes you a raid boss, everyone else in the vicinity has to try to kill you. The goal is to get as many kills as possible with this buff and whoever gets the most wins.

They also added the dueling arena in the field of the dead which offers a new faction and gear and an arena setting for 1v1 duels. I have found this to be enjoyable.

new gear tiers? If you mean tier 6 pve gear you wont see many players on fury at all with that level of gear as nobody raids it actively. As far as the pvp sets there is still only upto tier 3.

Any somewhat regular premades or PvP events ?

I have been working on improving this aspect myself.
There are premades as often as we can organize them but it seems the stars need to align to get 11 other people on board at the same time, this usually involves lots of smack talk. Gotta get people motivated somehow.

Minis do pop regularly but drop off late at night during US prime time around 9pm est and weekends can be slow because people have outside lives Bleh. Early in the day and evening its highly active with even the dreaded jhebbal sag mini running. Personally i detest that map
