    16:9 in 2560x1440 is no problem at all. You have 20% more height pixels on a 1440p than a 16:10 monitor at 1200p.

    The 1920*1200 resolution (16/10) should be compared to it's 16/9 equivalent, 1920*1080. If you want to compare the 16/9 2560*1440 to a 16/10 equivalent, then it should be 2560*1600, and this one has 11% more height pixels than the 16/9 resolution.

    Congratulations on getting a narrow slit instead of a monitor!

    I am joking, of course! It is your choice, and we all respect it. Besides, Shax' advice is always great!

    I would go for that one ($300): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...5954-_-Product

    Or these two:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-740-_-Product

    Although yours must have superior image quality for that price.

    • Remove daily rewards and the raid finder;
    • remove membership bonuses;
    • disable PVE XP for daily challenges;
    • remove WBs forever on Crom;
    • slow down the AA gain;
    • lower the PVP XP gain or remove the streak system;
    • remove AoE looting;
    • add the missing mobs back to Khesh., F. of the Dead, and Eigl. Mount.;
    • fix the 250+ms ping;
    • take the key away from Saddur;
    • revert T3, T3.5 (10.21.15), T4 (10.21.15), and GGG changes;
    • remove energy and add skills (like taunt) back.

    well, I run the game @ 21:9 UWQHD (3440 x 1440)
    - that's enough space to play with your inventory, character and map window open all the time and still seeing enough of the action ;-)

    btw, that is a LG curved 34" monitor (34UC97-S)

    Hi, nice monitor!

    What gpu are you using and what sort of frames do you get?

    Thanks

Also if you would want to use the G-SYNC feature it is reserved for NVidia cards and pretty powerful ones too. I'd say you need a GTX 980 or GTX 1070 and a CPU to match at least high end Haswell or more powerful to take full use of this monitor.
    ...
    I am a bit confused. Why should running a higher resolution put more work load on the CPU?

    Well, Age of Conan just works that way. The game is very CPU intensive. Like how upgrading from a HD5870 graphics card up to a HD7970 did not affect my framerate in a particular way. But upgrading from Intel E8400@4,2GHz to a i7 4770K@4,2GHz most certainly did.

    What G-Sync does is synchronize the framerate in the game to the refresh rate of the monitor. Now you wouldn't want to spend that amount on a monitor to still have 30 fps, because that would be wasted (imho). In that case, money would be better spent on upgrading motherboard and cpu, and getting a cheaper monitor. If money allows, buy both of course.

    I get fps over more than 100 in most areas with my i5 3570k@4.3

    I dont think i need a new cpu for this game.

    Definitely getting a 1080ti when it comes out but for now i will buy a new monitor

    I have a nVidia 1070 but a rather aged CPU (Core2 Extreme X9650, 3GHz), so I don't get very high framerates, but still smooth
    - i.e. above 30..40 most of the time (and since there actually is no visible difference compared to e.g. 100fps I don't care^^)

    p.s.
    framerates are ofc very depending on the area, in the OT reliquary I also get >90fps...
