    Default Drunken Brawling

Hearthstone gets Tavern Brawling while we still wait for drunken brawling. What is the ETA on this promised launch feature?

Have you been on any of the World Boss events, some of them come close to qualifying? (Just kidding -- I did share a lot of ale barrels, though.). I don't see that ever happening, but we can always wish...

Yeah is this like false advertising? On the box it says drunk brawling but there's no drunk brawling as far as I can see in game. There's quite of drunken brawling in our ventrilo channel, but not in game lol

Gaute Godager made so many promises he had zero chance of ever fulfilling. Anyone can look through the interviews made in 2006-2007 and find all the lies that were made:

"If you on a RPvP kill someone in another tier, or someone much weaker than you defined in another way if this is too liberal, you will increase the chance of getting a bounty placed on your death. This will result in very untimely visits from bounty hunters, and ultimately a possible jail sentence."

"In Conan we have special, massive, regions coined (but they have distinct names - "Laceish Planes", "Murrogh Forest" etc.) "Resource & Building Regions". They contain 5-8 village locations. These village locations can be occupied by guilds, putting up their walls, towers, keeps and production facilities (to make swords or what have you.). That is, they can put these up unless monsters have settled there first. Picts, bandits or other darker creatures will sometimes call their mates and create their own village when they stumble upon these locations.

As a matter of fact, most of these locations will be occupied within a relative short matter of time. The struggle for resources in the Hyborian world is fierce, and there are no free lunches. Your guild will have to destroy the upstarts, and oust them from their straggling village. Then you can settle. The method of kicking monsters out is to use formations, individual battle and siege engines."

I could find another 10 broken promises ranging from mounted combat, to capital city sieges, to player formations, to being able to hire NPC mercenaries.. the list goes on and on.

But what's done is done. It was evident years ago Funcom had no intention of ever fixing this game. They released RoTGS in 2010, then essentially put it into maintenance mode shortly after.

Eidos forced the release of the game in 2008, Gaude isn't to blame for it.

Because he bankrupted Funcom. He screwed up Anarchy Online launch too, and Craig Morrison had to come in and sort out his mess there as well. It wasn't just Age of Conan, he was always changing his mind on things and had a history of poor leadership. He was a crappy director, and the fact he now works as a prison psychologist speaks volumes.

I still don't understand why people defend Gaute, yes, he had a great vision and great ideas but he was totally incapable of implementing them.

but like i said w/e. it's over. peace.
