it didn't covered many things, things that people are asking.
nevertheless, i hope that "lore" part means we'll see more content soon. i like the second example, it's more immersive.
meh...
I like both lore entries, though if I had to choose a style, I would probably go with #2.
Also, there doesn't seem to be a link to the lore object video: "In the meantime, here is a short video of the lore object that you will collect in the world."
Edit:
Also, you say "Two of the less popular bosses have been replaced". Are you going to let us know which ones? I also wonder what you used to determine their popularity. Was it all about participation numbers? If so, I imagine location had a big part to do with some people farming the world boss, or just calling it quits till next month.

As I found the 1st lore type more informative, I liked the 2nd one better. Make the lore sound like it was written by some one living in Hyboria in the time of its happening. A scholar, historian, military captain, craftsman, ect. These could be journal entries or letters to loved ones, not just text book entries.
Good stuff. Looking forward to it.
One thing that concerns me in the letter is the news that World Bosses will now drop 1 Portent Token for each character, once per month. Does that mean they won't drop anything else? Because that would basically mean that each toon will fight it ONCE, and then move on to other things. The bad side to this would be that by the middle of WB week, once most players have fought the WB with all of their toons, it'll be almost impossible to find enough players willing to fight the WB.
While the 1st lore writing style is very informative it seems very literal and strict. I would prefer second example where it felt more poetic and seemed more in line with Robert E. Howard's style.
If you are replacing the WBs, will the pet still be available from the old ones?
Hope the lurker boss is one of them, it's the one i hated the most. Frustrating mechanics :s
I guess they have some numbers to help decide which ones are the less popular/harsh mechanics. Its good they keep improving the content like this, we had just tested a sample of thoses wb 1 year ago on TL pvp and the small number of testers didn't show exactly all the possible scenarios (ofc the not-so-surprising pvp gankfest one was the most predictable, hence the result of a castrated version for pvp servers)
The Serpent Man Oldblood and the Banshee Queen of Acheron.
Their loot tables remain mostly unchanged from last year. The only changes made were some adjustments to drop percentages, (both increases and decreases), and of course the addition of the relics. The caches will still drop in the same fashion as before.
Yes, though not from the new bosses. They will drop their own, new versions. The social pets of the bosses who have been replaced will be available on the Portent Relic vendor.
