The opportunity to enroll in minigame with a group of friends is very desirable.
BUT we must not repeat the same stupidity at the beginning of the game.
Remember : the minigames were "premade" against "pug". And "pug" team was eliminated without any interest. No match balanced + disgust players.
It is for this reason that the opportunity to enroll in a group was removed with very good reason. It is not desirable to simply go back. The same causes produce the same effects.
The tournament system then introduced, remained too heavy and did not have much success.
We must find the right way to reintroduce "groups of friends" without compromising the overall balance of minigames.
Maybe the solution would be:
1) to keep the possibility of having minigames "pug" against "pug" for players who do not have the necessary friends when they register. Impossible here to register when you are grouped.
2) to introduce another set of minigames for groups, ie that only grouped players can register, whether 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6. Thus, if a group of 2 players joins the list, the team is formed only if there is another group of 4 that fits in turn or two other groups of 2. One player can not register.
In this system 3 groups of 2 can be in fight against 1 team of 6... perhaps it will be unbalanced too.
So it is possible to limit the number of group of 2. For example if just one "group of 2 players" can join the list, the other group wil be automatically 4.
With this solution we can have 6vs(2+4) or 6vs(3+3) and the others combinations (3+3) vs (4+2)...(3+3) vs (3+3)...(4+2) vs (4+2)
In all cases, it is imperative that Funcom find a way to establish relatively balanced minigames.
We must not fall into a system where the big guild premade farm small pug, this is ridiculous and counterproductive.
