Sure FC are unlikely to make major investments into AoC. But why they don't even use the cheapest tools to market the game remains a mystery.

* Endorse player-made content and use it to market the game via social media channels. The most obvious example is Henryx's awesome videos. But there's other opportunities as well, e.g. streaming of competitive premades (say, Korando's tournament), or videos of the German Blood & Sand RP-PvP event.

* Make community managers engage with gaming journalists. Sure AoC won't be in the media spotlight anymore. But MMO sites often need filler material which they can use between the latest ESO, Wildstar or Warlords of Draenor material.

Other than that, all will depend on the resources FC is willing to use on AoC. Joel said that some of the joint team would work on AoC now that Tokyo has been released in TSW. Still you see a lot more dev activity on the TSW forums than here (of course this doesn't necessarily mean much). Personally, I think it is rather evident from FC's quarterly reports since TSW's launch that that game's revenue potential going forward is very limited. Normally, this should mean that AoC may see some more dev activity. But given TSW's B2P model, it would be quite courageous to move more resources to AoC...

That said, it would be really nice to see if FC have plans for the mid- to long-term, apart from rehashing old content. Not that Unchained dungeons and raids are a bad idea, but if you want to market the game, you probably need more than that. Something like a movie tie-in, for example...

I think the gay porn suggestion is the best one yet! But even that would have Funcom bugs in it and the players would have to find a work-around to get it to work correctly and get that "reach-around" you all want while playing Funcom games.
