    Smile

I used to play Ragnarok online a lot
always liked that game, it has something that i couldn't find in any other game...
ofc, i got enough of it, since the updates were making the game far different from what i liked.
anyhow, sometimes i play with my friends, for the "good old times".

Now im waiting for this game to release http://blog.treeofsavior.com/en/
if you used to play RO, you may find a very interesting kinship. perhaps because is the same person that made RO.
    meh...

No BS though, Eve-online is unlike ANY other MMO out there and those of you who haven't played it need to do a trial asap. Trailer gave me chills, I hop on and do a good amount of RVB PVP and low sec roams every once and a while

Default open beta the next mmo?

Black Desert Online is going open beta soon! http://black-desert.com/news/black-d...earned-so-far/
I'm not sure if that is open beta for Korea only or for everyone.

I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about open beta games. I have played 2 so far. (3 if you include Age of Conan, which I should count as open "paid" beta). 1.War Thunder(open beta) is a damn good game but has made some serious errors lately with cliches and bugs and the player base is not happy about it and lots of folks are leaving. 2.Heroes and Generals(open beta) is a fun game with really crappy graphics and tons of hackers, but it was fun for a short while. But the graphics and hackers where the game killer for me on that one.

What are your thoughts on open beta games? (perhaps discuss in a new thread)

I'd say that open betas are for the game developers benefit more than the players. If you enjoy it then great but my take is that you're there to test and report, not just get free gameplay or a free testdrive, which may not be indicative of the actual game at release anyway.

Should they have open betas or not is a good question with all the variables involved. Personally I think the good outweighs the bad, at least so far.

That game is not about game play. It is about everything else. Community, metagaming, dumb political social fluff. It is a game full of all the people who stood in the cantina in SWG for 5+ years. I have played on and off since launch. It is much better now with not having to log in as often and specialization removes the need for many skill points but the game is all fluff. There is a current top 50 guild in EvE from AoC past in Blackwater.

Default YIKES .... it AIN'T AA

ArcheAge servers have been crap-tastic for the last 3-days. Outrageous outage times/duration ...

A game that bases a great deal of it's play-time on real-time (IE: land ownership, crops, and livestock all on "the clock") is having trouble recovering. People are loosing "investments" in-game; which for some equates to real money in the pay-t0-win environment.

I love playing business simulation games. In fact, I play AoC as a trader and a crafter and spend 80% time in buying, crafting and selling.
So EVE should have been THE game for me and I really wanted to love it - but it didn´t let me!

EVE has a very steep learning-curve. and so I left after 6 months and didnt have seen or understood the most content.
Ich ignoriere die Beiträge von Zatochi und gehe daher nicht auf sie ein!

The learning curve only applies for pvp/nullsec/WH-space. You can easily and successfully trade the day you start. But EVE is a slow game, patience is the key. The trailer doesn't show the countless hours of roaming/camping/sitting in stations doing nothing

been posting crap on here about black desert for a few years and still hold hopes that it may be good. Sandbox is the only way to go and not since SWG and Darkfall has anything sandbox been worth playing. Mortal Online and Darkfall 2.0 sucked same for a few others
