Thread: PvP quests, Remove Guards disable Murder points.

Default PvP quests, Remove Guards disable Murder points.

OR else there is no point even doing these.

Its a massive headache, you have sketchy players who purposely wants to ruin pvp by staying by the guards or the low level that follows you 24/7 so you can get murder points.

This is honestly the most stupidest thing players can do. PVP patch comes out everyone hugs guard, lowbies trying to get higher level murder points. I mean WTF? Honestly

You devs should of thought about this before releasing this.

Remove the guards, and or find some alternative way. Right now its a massive headache, it really shows there are not much pvpers left in this game. Everyone just sits by the guard, its just so stupid.

They had to choose between delay and fixed content. Feedback is always appreciated though. I'd like to add that epic instances should have no npc's at all during pvp events, and let it only take place there.

For many the murder points are well earned and deceived. Of course there is the problem with exploiting, but removing the only drawbacks in attacking lowbies is not a good idea. Have you thought this through what will happen to a normally 20-40 zone if you do this? Just wait and watch what happens in white sands during the quest week and the feedback that will come.

Murder points now are not earned, if the lowbie attacks you first. They probably even changed the invisibility handling to avoid collaterals from aoe that you can't see.

Personally i see it as additional tactics and awareness needed. Sure, some classes are at a big disadvantage here, since they rely heavily on aoe. Others should be able to avoid hitting lowbies by choosing different tactics/combos.
Problems come with guard exploiting, fighting in the town and when lowbies go on the package quest. But these are solveable problems, without having to "remove" even more things.

Just change how guards behave and how much murder points are gained, depending on situation. Of course the real solution would be a working consequence system, with more lasting renown than murder points and varied penalties as well as solid calculations to avoid exploiting.

If you just remove guards, there will be resspad lag and pvp mostly near those, because shield of the risen would be the only protection left.

Removing would only make sense, if the lowbies would get some other form of protection...e.g. no kills counted if they are attacked first or more lasting renown stats and "achievements". Like the childkiller perk in fallout. Of course you do not want to get it, but it was easy to get involuntarily, if you used automatic weapons or big aoe and fought in towns.

Why would anyone farm lowbies on purpose? No xp, no kills, nothing, only a few clowns will want to do it. And disabling murder points in a specific area during a specific time period is certainly not going to ruin anything.

The probleme with murder points is some lowbies deliberatly going into a fight between level 80s to deliberatly give away murder point. Yesterday evening thanks to a couple of morons i and several others ended up with 800 murder points. Just because a HoX can't play without HfB and that it One Shots a lvl 20, or a ToS can't really PvP without doing AoE.
