    Funcom PvP Festival and PvP Daily Quests : Guide

    The intention of this thread is to provide a guide to how the PvP Festival and PvP Daily quest systems function and how they can be accessed.

    Feedback or issues related to the events are welcome and appreciated but should really be kept to separate threads.
    During the festival guards will not aid players in combat.

    PvP Festival

    For every server the festival element of the patch operates the same way.
    One week every month will be a dedicated PvP Fesitval month, by default this is the week commencing on the third Wednesday of the month, but as with the World Bosses this date can be changed with prior notice.
    The only difference between the PvP and PvE servers is the location for these festival events.

    On Crom
    The location for these events cycles monthly.
    May : Border Kingdoms : Cimmerian End.
    June : Border to Kush
    July : Border Kingdoms : Aquilonian End.
    August : Border Kingdoms : Cimmerian End.
    September : Border to Kush
    October : Border Kingdoms : Aquilonian End.
    November : Border Kingdoms : Cimmerian End.
    December : Border to Kush
    January : Border Kingdoms : Aquilonian End.
    February : Border Kingdoms : Cimmerian End.
    March : Border to Kush
    April : Border Kingdoms : Aquilonian End.

    On Fury and Rage
    The location for these events cycles monthly.
    May : Khopshef Province
    June : Tarantia Common District
    July : White Sands Isle
    August : Kheshatta
    September : Wild Lands of Zelata
    October : Conall's Valley
    November : Khopshef Province
    December : Tarantia Common District
    January : White Sands Isle
    February : Kheshatta
    March : Wild Lands of Zelata
    April : Conall's Valley

    During festival week the following events will be enabled and rotate with a short cooldown before a new event starts:


    Team Event : Fields of Slaughter
    Potential locations for these events are displayed on the minimap with a Red Flag icon.
    This is basically a king of the hill event. 1 of 6 possible static flags will become active in a certain part of the map. Every 30 seconds whichever team of 6 has claim over that flag will receive a number of points, the team holding the flag when the event expires will receive a greater increase of points (4 times the normal amount). The winning team is the one with the most points at the end of the duration. While the team in control at the end receives a large points boost.
    In order to claim the flag you need to interact with it for a short duration. Interacting with the flag while under the effects of any sort of immunity 'bubble' will not be possible.
    Within the vicinity of the active flag all teams of 6 will be hostile to one another.

    Solo Event : Arena of Death
    Potential locations for these events are displayed on the minimap with a Red Crossed Swords icon.
    Each adventure zone has two locations which will be considered to be a 'Arenas of Death'. When the event is active you will receive an 'Arena Gladiator' buff while in this area. You will score points by making kills of other players with the 'Arena Gladiator' buff. The Gladiator status will persist for a short duration if leaving the arena and any deaths while so effect will still increment the killer's score.
    The Arena will be active for a set time period, at the end of that time period the players from each archetype with the highest number of points will be declared the winners, in the event of a tie the first player to reach that score will be the winner for that archetype. Those coming in second and third place will also have their names broadcast and receive additional XP buff rewards.
    While inside the Arena all players will be considered hostile targets, even those in the same group or guild as yourself. In addition the majority of team buff effects are blocked.

    Team or Solo Event : Arena of Death (team)
    Potential locations for these events are displayed on the minimap with a Red Flag icon.
    Similar to the above event but with 3 teams rather than complete free-for-all. To be eligible for this event you must signup up with the Wolf Pict Arena Master during the warmup period, he is located at the nearest resurrection point. The matchmaking used is intentionally very basic and prioritizes maintaining existing groups above anything else, once the event starts teams are locked (no auto-balancing).
    Points are scored for kills made against opposing team members within the arena and the highest scoring players from each archetype of the winning team will be broadcast.
    As with the solo arena Gladiator status will persist for a short duration if leaving the arena and any deaths while so effect will still increment the killing team's score.


    Solo Event : The Chosen of Gullah
    Altar locations for these events are displayed on the minimap with a Blue Flag icon.
    When this event one of the 3 potential locations is broadcast as being active. A buff effect called the presence of Gullah will show players they are in the correct combat area.
    At the end of the warmup period a random active player inside that location will receive a buff effect greatly increasing their offensive stats but blocking healing. The Chosen of Gullah will also become hostile to their team and guild mates while the effect is active. The enhanced buff will last for a maximum of 2minutes or until the player is killed or if they leave the combat area for too long. During that time the player will accumulate a score based on how many PvP kills they can rack up.
    Any player able to kill 'the Chosen' receives a large boost to their own score. Whenever the Chosen effect expires (due to timem death or fleeing) it will transfer to a new random player within the assigned combat area, this means the event will move around the designated area naturally and every player has an equal chance of experiencing this enhanced game-play.
    When the event timer expires the player with the highest score has their name and victory broadcast.
    To aid in the fight against the Chosen of Gullah players are able to interact with an altar in each combat area, doing some will provide a boost to their offensive capabilities.

    The following is a more detailed overview of supplementary quests for the festival week.
    Festival Event: Fields of Slaughter Quests
    These quests have a week long cooldowns.

    These quests can be acquired in the festival location during the active week or at any time at the Wolf Pict's Landing in Khemi

    * Domination: Claim victory (points victory) over each of the 6 points in the current zone. Rewards 5000 PvP XP, 250,000 Prowess XP, 20 Campaign Badges.
    * Participation: Capture (temporary ownership of a point) each of the 6 points in the current zone & kill 25 members of the owning team throughout the week. Rewards 1000 PvP XP, 62,500 Prowess, 30 Conquest Trophies, 3 Campaign Badges.

    These quests have 20h cooldowns.
    * Victory: Claim points victory over 1 point in the current zone. Rewards 1000 PvP XP, 62,500 Prowess, 30 Conquest Trophies, 1 Campaign Badges.
    * Final Capture: Hold the point when the timer expires. Rewards 700 PvP XP, 20,000 Prowess, 15 Conquest Trophies, 1 Campaign Badge.
    * Participation: Capture (temporary ownership of a point) a point in the current zone and kill 3 members of the owning team througout the day. Rewards 200 PvP XP, 10,000 Prowess, 15 Conquest Trophies, 1 Campaign Badge.

    Festival Event: Arenas
    This quest is weekly.
    * Arena Kills: 100 kills in the arena. Rewards 5000 PvP XP, 250,000 Prowess, 45 Conquest Trophies, 3 Campaign Badges.

    These quests have 20h cooldowns.
    * Champion: Top scorer for your archetype. Rewards 2500 PvP XP, 125,000 Prowess, 30 Conquest Trophies, 3 Campaign Badges.
    * Arena Kills: 15 kills in the Arenas. Rewards 400 PvP XP, 20,000 Prowess, 15 Conquest Trophies.
    * Team Victory: Be part of the winning team Rewards 2000 PvP XP, 46,875 Prowess, 15 Conquest Trophies, 1 Campaign Badge.
    * Team Champion: Top scorer for your archetype and on the winning team. Rewards 2000 PvP XP, 62,500 Prowess, 15 Conquest Trophies, 1 Campaign Badge.

    Festival Event: Chosen of Gullah
    These quests have 20h cooldowns.
    * Victory: Top points scorer for the event. Rewards 1500 PvP XP, 62,500 Prowess, 30 Conquest Trophies, 2 Campaign Badges.
    * Kills for Gullah: 15 kills as the Chosen. Rewards 1000 PvP XP, 46,875 Prowess, 15 Conquest Trophies, 1 Campaign Badge.
    * Slayer of Gullah: Kill the chosen of Gullah. Rewards 500 PvP XP, 10,000 Prowess, 15 Conquest Trophies, 1 Campaign Badge.
    * Becoming the Chosen: Gain the chosen of Gullah buff. Rewards 200 PvP XP, 10,000 Prowess.

    Victory Tokens
    Victory tokens are awarded for the following.
    * 1 for each team member winning a points victory for Fields of Slaughter.
    * 2 for the winner of each archetype in the Solo Arena.
    * 1 for the winner of each archetype on the winning team in the Team Arena.
    * 2 for the points winner of the Chosen of Gullah event.

    There is currently a 1h cooldown on receiving tokens from the same source (e.g 1h cooldown on winning the arena to gain victory tokens, but winning the arena then the chosen of gullah would grant all those tokens).

    Funcom PvP Daily Questing

    Daily Quest
    These are short supplementary quests with the intention of encouraging open-world PvP on a daily basis.
    In the daily quest location guards will not aid players in combat.

    The daily quests function differently between servers.
    On Crom
    As of now, these quests are only available on Crom during the Festival week and are located in the Border Kingdoms : Cimmerian End.
    On Fury and Rage
    The location of these events change daily, rotating between these 6 locations:

    *White Sands Isle
    * Kheshatta
    * Wild Lands of Zelata
    * Conall's Valley
    * Khopshef Province
    * Tarantia Common District

    The logic behind which location is used is as follows: 1st of the month will be White Sands, 2nd of the Month Kheshatta and so on... There are 2 exceptions to this; firstly during festival week the daily quests will always be in that location and secondly the 31st of the month uses Wild Lands of Zelata (to avoid having White Sands frequently used 2 times in a row).
    Additionally when taking a quest from the poster board an on screen message will inform the user of the current location of the daily quests.

    Currently the following quests are available as part of this supplementary system:

    The Pictish Menace
    The Pictish Scavenger provides players with a quest for AA points to deliver 3 packages from himself to an isolated wagon without the use of local travel, mounting or stealth. Dying while carrying a package will remove the package.
    A counter quest can be picked up from the poster boards to intercept the packages by killing those carrying them. A debuff will be present on any target with a package.

    Blood Begets Blood
    This quest is gained from the main poster board and is a three tier quest which simply requires making kills in the location of the current daily quests. This quest now updates for all group members.

    Bounty Hunting
    This quest is acquired from a secondary poster board and has a much shorter cooldown than the other quests. Using the board will assign your character a target within the current location and you will then have 30 minutes to assassinate them. To make this easier Tracking Hawks can be used close to all resurrection points in the zone.

    For all kill quests the goals will only be updated for players in an appropriate level range to yourself.

    Funcom PvP Daily Questing : Rewards

    Daily Quest reward details
    Daily on Fury/Rage. Festival week on Crom
    All these quests have a 20h cooldown.

    * Special Delivery : deliver 3 packages across the playfield without being killed, teleporting, mounting or hiding. Rewards 112,500 Mastery XP (due to this quest being possible to avoid PvP, rewards are kept to useful PvE ones).
    * Package Interception : 2 tiers for killing players delivering on the above quest. Rewards (tier 1) 500 PvP XP, 5 Conquest Trophies. Rewards (tier 2) 1000 PvP XP, 46,875 Prowess XP, 15 Conquest Trophies, 1 Campaign Badge.
    * Kill Quest : this has 3 tiers and requires 5, 15 & 40 kills respectively. Rewards (tier 1) 500 PvP XP, 5 Conquest Trophies and 1 campaign badge. Rewards (tier 2) 200 PvP XP, 20,000 Prowess, 15 Conquest Trophies and 1 Campaign Badge. Rewards (tier 3) 1000 PvP XP, 46,875 Prowess XP, 15 Conquest Trophies, 1 Campaign Badge.

    This quest has a 30min cooldown.

    * Bounty Hunting: Kill a specified player within your current instance, use of localized tracking objects are allowed. Rewards 200 PvP XP, 10,000 Prowess, 3 Conquest Trophies.

    Exclamation cirith show it plz!

    Cirith definitely need new revision for areas open world pvp daily quests:

    enter only the first point guards in the area respad

    second point to a maximum of 3 groups of 6 people per instance or area

    third point if evidence supports daily group killings should be shared by the whole group

    fourth point does not allow raid quests in such a maximum group of 6 people and murder point if you accidentally remove a small level pve is to ruin the game

    fifth point, take in vision remove mini pug, at least for segnarci with 3 friends that you can join a mini or mini pug at least remove the pvp server

    sixth and final point for new tokens pvp is ok with events but give incentive of mini tournaments or mini unchained!

    PS we would like to get an answer on these points and some information for new sets pvpT4

    Only issue I have is with the bounty quest. It can be someone from a guild you're allied with. Time to think about an official ally system

    what means "as of now"??? you cant be serious about considering to let this happen to pve servers like the world boss event?!

    those ppl on crom chose pve for a reason, and thats because we DONT want any more pvp here than we already have! theres borderkingdoms, minis and arena, and that more than enough for a pve server.

    the pvp players can log on to the pvp servers if they need more pvp! bringing more pvp to crom will only cause more hard feelings and bad emotions and loss of agitated players to an already decreasing playerbase.
