Thread: We need an autokick for afker

We don't need proof, pvp population is abysmal and even though it would result in slightly more people trying out pvp it won't help at all given that pvp t1 gear has been made extremely powerful and is only barely weaker than pvp t2-3 (itself on par t4...). So people in green/blues would get annihilated still. Talk about a waste of ressources

As for a vote kick I'm willing to bet it would get exploited and would just create more drama.
Also joining a running mini is not something everyone knows how to do and Funcom doesn't tell newcomers how to, so it would again have a limited impact - by the time a replacement manages to get in you probably lost the game already.

Pvp t1 should require gold only and not any pvp level I guess. But then it's also pretty OP for fresh 80 pve so FC will never ever do that, pve balance/progression is still top priority for this company. If there was more lowbies minis people would be pvp 3-4 when they reach 80 though, that would be best. But players won't magically come back en masse to this game.

True, that is why the brackets should not be mandatory

Also you are right about the pvp gear, they did not adress the gap between new 80s and others at all. For those it is even more a oneshot fest than before (thanks to either something ninja or the tenacity/hitcrit values). Now more people fight with critigation, tenacity and protection than before. Things fresh 80s have no easy access to.
That's why many suggested not stopping here and add more steps to lower the initial grind and gap (like gear from pvp1-3 or less tier difference in pvp in general). A green set for money at pvp0 and a blue set for money and pvp 1-2 is definitely missing now.

Also the pvp items are definitely not balanced between classes.
Sure, one can argue this is because classes are not balanced either and they compensate this through gear. This is a wrong design approach imo, though and only leads to a more unsystematic approach and makes things even more hard to balance

Hopefully they allow pvp enchantments or combinations with crafting soon. The whole idea of huge linear progression in pvp is not good at all and this could add some variety and specialization options.

But i fear they still go for the "if you want this, we think you should do this" control approach

I love how this went from a vote for an auto-kick function to people standing on soap-boxes about PvP gear gaps ... Again.

True. I'm still amazed by the quantity of people that don't even buy the T1 even tought they're pvp3 already, or those that come with dext stuff on hox...
Serioulsy, you get the money by gathering ressources between mini in less than a whole evening of gameplay.

Maybe because both are linked and should be looked at, if you want to do something about mini game motivation? Sure, it is one of many afk reasons, but something easily adressed.

Problem with onesided content is, that if you don't like it, you will not do it. But you would go for similar content without that "no go" flaw. So i think both can work perfectly fine alongside (either unchained or seperated power queues), as long as both work and have strengths (not like tournament queue who does not allow rejoining after crash, missed countdown, bug). Even right now you have different 6 ppl minis AND Jhebbals running alongside. Similar effects can be and have been seen by open world pvp. It was not fun for everyone, so those who got annoyed left that content, even though they would stay or had stayed for slightly different open world pvp.
Your argument would only be strong, if the people signing these normals and the jhebbals are always the same, which they are not. Many players sign only jhebbal, while others pregroup for the 6ppls and keep doing them over and over, avoiding jhebbals.
