it's all over news here in norway that Funcom has been shut down,
for the moment.. and it's not off topic at all..

people would normally ask how does this effect AoC ??

The first PvP update/attention for years -> sky was obviously about to fall on AoC.
The end of time is on the way too btw, it should reach us when unchained minis hit live.

GG (GOOD GAME) Funcom! I hope AoC is unaffected, but that is highly doubtful, no publicity is better than negative publicity.... The Secret World has always been the (cut "achilles heel") of the company, from taking revenue from AoC and dumping it into TSW, to this garbage! Hmmm....did you let Craig Morrison PVE YOUR STOCK/MONEY??? lol

being the devils cynical advocate, how much worse can it get for aoc players? we suffered from the new games developments and got cut down to minimum attention, workload and manpower working on aoc.

moving the servers and some parts of the company across the big pond may be something positive at that point. though we dont know where the accounts for the sub income are set or if and how the game servers could be affected if FC was charged guilty and had to pay a fine.

also dont know how high this fine could be, would it be reasonable (which is a matter of point of view here) or could it be existance threatening like some amounts charged in the US or example.

bottom line is we dont know much, close to nothing actually except theres an investigation going on but its enough to thrive wildest speculations and rumors.

we can only do one thing imo, sit tight, wish for the best and be prepared for the worst...
