Never finished the video due to standalone release but lots of fun footage for only 2 days of play.

YouTube makes for worse graphics plus I always play on low settings to maximize on the highest frame rate, I couldn't care less about graphics.

Another video is uploading as we speak, but this time it's even more fast paced and hardcore and has many funny scenes.

The developer of dayz rocket was asked that question....
“Is it worth buying DayZ standalone yet or should I wait for it to mature so it’s less buggy and more playable?”

He reply....

“For the current game? No,”
“For the price? No …
to see the game? No (you can watch streams) …
to participate in development? Possibly.
Overall, I would not recommend it. But I think in a few weeks, it might go from “possible” to “yes” on the last one.”

I have it but unlike a lot of people I knew what I was buying into A VERY ROUGH BROKEN BUGGY ALPHA BUILD its said the game will take 1 year!! befor it hits BETA (atm dayz standalone is worse than the mod and will be for sometime) oh and there is hackers in the game already ITS A EARLY ALPHA BUILD SO IN TIME GETS BETTER (and more tight on hackers I hope)

Personally im liking standalone if you play with a group of people its much more enjoyable

The standalone is a bunch of smoke and mirrors right now. Game play is no different but a lot more boring due to so many other elements missing that are in the original mod. The game runs better and looks slightly better, but not by much.

If they add a bunch of military weapons, get vehicles implemented again and raise the player capacity on the servers from 40-100, then yes it will be worth buying.

The only way you will win by buying it right now is, it's cheaper in alpha then when it goes to official release.

I got alpha and I am having a blast. Newer tried the original mod (only watched vids on youtube) so I am not feeling anything missing. It is pretty solid already, but still has a long way to go.
