Barbs are great, but gear gives them so much more damage.
My record is fatality on a sin who had about 65% hp.

my record with pvp t1 polearm on sin who had 90% hp with counterweight crit, 1,8k per crit with volcanic strike + disarming aggression

If it's a kill hit it's normal. They always do as much damage as crits but don't show it correctly in logs.

and it sure was correct. had 80% hp and then instant death

Maybe, all i'm saying is that the immense majority of the time. Huge damage numbers happen when a guy is at 30%. I assume it's intended as a way to balance the kill counts by giving a bonus to the killer.

fatalities dont count as crits, considering my upheaval blows will hit less then 100 a tic on tanks, im sure those blows are crits

i had 6k hp rofl iwas mind blown, he landed decap and upheaval and earth shatter in a span of 2min as i gradually dropped his hp, he had less then 10% left to go, only 2-3 more combos to go to kill him lol
