Can we get an official Funcom answer as to why PvP gear is so much inferior to their PvP counterparts?
My theory: Funcom is using some kind of pre-existing , automatic item budgeting program, where all their gear "automatically" "balances".
If true. This is completely nuts. With a game so complex where one change with one class or even single ability can alter entirely how that class responds to existing and future items coupled that with trying to balance this gear with both pave and PvP in mind couple that with other class roles and future alterations to abilities/class/gear and you can in NO WAY shape/ form/ creed/ doctrine allow a computer to make decisions on something so crucial as the gear component of a toon.
GEAR(ESPECIALLY PVP GEAR) NEEDS TO BE CREATED BY DEVS WHO ARE CONSISTENT PLAYERS AND HAVE A FIRM GRASP OF THE CURRENT PvE/PvP/CLASS SITUATION.
