Would create a really Unique MMO, where a level would mean something "woaw look a level 29 !" "damn look he have 5 kill in pvp" where risking his life to save somebody else would be worth something
ruleset of course need adjustement and forgot prolly lot of exploit but you see the idea
- You die = you go back to lvl1 you can only keep name and a bank access where you could have stocked up items for inheritance, same for money
- Only premium account can go on this server
- no Bonus xp of any sort
- no offline level
- to avoid to have 90% of people playing class that can ressurect people, thesed class could only rez 1 person / level he have reached
- ressurection spell can only be casted on people dead only since 10 minutes or something
- all items are bound when equiped
- a counter on character show how many time he died and started from 1, to show comitment level..... (only visible if player want and only counted if players reached minimum level 10....)
- people can tag another person for pvp and the other can accept or not (at level 10 minimum....) and no more than 1 level gap between the characters
- A starting zone should be created to avoid to have to do the 6 first level with the same cinematic and starting quests over and over... a generic open area with monster level 1 to 6 to bash until people get to level 5 and can enter real tortage
- When somebody die and is ressurected, they lose 1 random equiped item (not from the cosmetic equipment)
- can't hide equipement
- to have if possible server side, something that can track if people are disconnected by accident or not, to help GM (reinforced GM team prolly...) to manage cases of "i died because game crashed / my IP disconnected" or perhaps allow people to have a limited number of jokers (like 1 each 10 level or something) to use to auto rez (in short giving a few free lives to manage ragequit situation....)
- making crafting available at level 30
- only 1 craft could be learned and can be unlearned to start another
- multiply components needed to craft an item by X to avoid mass production or limiting number of items that can be crafted by level / with timer
- allowing some kind of title if some level is reached, and if die, new character can bring the title too under the form of "Son/Daughter of <Insert name here>"
- same could be a system of title on doing some quests with of course a limit of level difference between the quest and the player, should be risky to avoid everybody having it after some time (LOTR like but with meaning....).
- no teaching or perhaps only +1 level
- not possible to enter an instance if your level is bigger than it
- cheaters = account permabanned from this server
Zothlike, that is not a bad suggestion! Keep it up! I think that the single-crafting rule might be too limiting, but I would not mind that; and resetting to level 1 might need tweaking (losing a lot of experience for death would be fine too).
- Remove daily rewards and the raid finder;
- remove membership bonuses;
- disable PVE XP for daily challenges;
- remove WBs forever on Crom;
- slow down the AA gain;
- lower the PVP XP gain or remove the streak system;
- remove AoE looting;
- add the missing mobs back to Khesh., F. of the Dead, and Eigl. Mount.;
- fix the 250+ms ping;
- take the key away from Saddur;
- revert T3, T3.5 (10.21.15), T4 (10.21.15), and GGG changes;
- remove energy and add skills (like taunt) back.

Can Devs please fix:
- new ressurections resetting the currently selected ressurect position
- loot timeout windows disappearing before progress bar completes when box hasn't been opened quickly
Well only a loss of xp would kill the true " a level 20 is a real level 20" i think, only having a xp loss even a heavy one would allow anybody with a lot of time able to reach a good level with a minimum of wariness
And i think this server would be used by player not as a main acticity for AOC players i thInk people would play it > die > turn mad > go back play "regular" AOC as a break > return to permadeath Server after a while because Of boredom or find a friend to go with for a new "adventure"
About single crafting, it's to make skill more unique and avoid to some extend after a while too much people able to do everything
I'm not a specialist of theses class, why they would have Some advantage ? perhaps theN to avoid everydody playing class that can rez (with limitation of number of rez possible in the caracter lifetime) there could be some kind of limiation on some feats for theses class
But perhaps having too much players playing a few class that are easier to play in this permadeath server, would make them more useful and in need for team play, somthing like the classical actual "Mona palace looking for mt" or "Mona palace looking for rogue"
