    Default unification & pvp fix

    as it as been proven year after year since new pvp lvl's armor and aa's were introduced the gap bettwen players with no life who farm like madmen and veterans who have played for years is nothing short of an abyss wich shuns new players into pvp.
    new players with null amount of aa's and crap pve gear are farmed into leaving game and quickly come to disdain pvp in aoc.
    no new players get retained for pvp, while a lot more get retained for pve at least on populated crom server.

    major problems to pvp is:
    .population
    .lack of systems
    .prowess gains low
    .gear unbalances
    .aa unbalance
    .utter failure of cryminal system
    .unbalanced class abilities
    .lack of a proper evasion system to reward player awareness
    .shrines of bori allowing people to gain pvp xp without pvp
    .no diferent pvp content for pvp servers & pve servers
    .harrassment based world pvp, where people trying to pve get forced to pvp without any consensuality or fairness( talking to npc and bam killed)

    most of all current situation ostracizes completly pve players and new players.
    by the reasons above and because a pve player gets no reward/incentive for questing in open world pvp enabled zone.

    my sugestion is change everything.

    while pve needs to have small scaling improvements in stats each tier of raids or dungeons, pvp doesnt need it at all in fact more power gear the worse it is to balance classes and overall pvp systems/objectives.

    remove all pvp lvl's, death stats and pvp gear
    ever since you added bori its meaningless the current pvp lvl's some people merely farmed their pvp lvl's.
    death stat makes people avoid at all costs dying to avoid being debased by others and to have bigger epeen out of a good k/d.
    my overall experience is death count doesnt promote teamplay and heavily discourages new players and pve players from doing pvp WICH IS OBVIOUSLY A BAD THING, YOU WANT ALL PLAYERS TO BE TOTALY ENCOURAGED TO DO PVP.
    pvp gear is currently very unbalanced and its existence was deployed in the same way pve gear gets introduced scalling up with tiers, wich is totaly wrong and leads to unbalanced player diferences with some players depending on class and pvp lvl having lot more advantages over other classes and players.

    THIS IS PARTICULARLY TRUE FOR T2 PVP SET FOR SOLDIERS & HEALERS while rogue/mages pvp sets using them makes classes underperform and unable to fully realize class power.


    make pvp gear forced upon entering any pvp instance zone, and adjust all armors to be better for all classes and not just half of classes

    this would make viable to continue pve gear scaling up with furture raids and instances while finaly removing all gear dependancy for pvp in aoc, and would make it easier to pipeline wich class abilities need to be adjusted as well as how each class pvp gear needs tweaks to be best possible gear to do pvp with.

    upon entering any pvp zone unlock all aa's
    this would remove current aa gap bettewen players and even allow for future aa's to be integrated to finish up aa's.

    so whatever pvp activity a player would join he would get full aa's and full pvp set(wich needs adjusting current sets are unbalanced)

    these are all fundamental changes to promote pvp and balance it fairly.

    minigames
    CUT THE CRAP!!!
    this is team based pvp content let people sign up with teams no restraints just provide what should have been provided years ago, solo pvp content(duel arenas)
    tournament mode will only work if there is a score board linked to participating in it.
    no diferent unchained/normal minigames just 1 single minigame system forcing all aa's and pvp gear unto all joining.

    tranform blood ravine & totem torrent into team death match no flags no totems just half duration and team with most kills wins.

    reduce duration of call jebhal sag to 25 minutes.

    fix the geometry exploits possible in all minigames, wich allow players to kill others in unreachable positions and to get cc'd under the map.

    along side this i believe low lvl minigames should continue as they are given the popularity they have despite major imbalances in it with veteran players having twinks with maxed out "general" band aa's granting extreme power to some players combined with purple item shop items making veterans in those conditions obviously killing machines.


    duel arenas
    instead of making a new minigame just get your act together and remodel the existing ingame arenas to have a signup from same window as the minigames and add a simple quest to participate with prowess rewards and a win quest with 1 campaign badge and 5 conquest trophies.
    you know you already have all the material ingame to do this!
    stop delaying on this and making up excusses and deliver this asap.
    bring this ingame this year still!

    unchained open world
    merge all the servers together and create open world versions of existing areas featuring these key features.

    .8-12 daily pve quests with 50 moas each+caravan bag, and 1 of quests rewarding 5 rare trophies on completing all the pve quests in zone.
    these to promote pve players coming inside to quest with appropriate rewards for doing so.

    ..daily repeatable kill 12 players in the zone giving 1 campaign badge 5 conquest tokens

    ...capturable places in each zone working in a semi faction based way including some npc's fighting with each side, flags to capture, gates & catapults & balistas.
    limit amount of players able to join each side and start new instance upon too many joined.
    quest based progression to gain pvp xp to avoid exploiting along side the npc's targeting oposite side.
    and a tagging system so only players on contending sides may compete for these objectives.

    ....pyre system from cimmerian end imported to all these zones.

    this should be endgame lvl80 content for subscribded players with possibility to buy daily pass from item shop for f2p players.
    low lvl pvp players should be encouraged to lvl up given great imbalances existing on low lvl pvp especialy true given absent available pvp gear with protection wich makes magic dealers too powerfull.

    to note as well would be not to have too many unchained world pvp zones so people wouldnt scatter to much into many zones.

    but open world pvp at low lvl's shouldnt be there, players should be free to lvl up at their own pace with no stalkers killing them over and over again and especialy not to have lvl 80 players coming in the zone to harrass them into logging off, like some players seem so keen to do.

    border kingdoms remodeled for warzones
    the underuse of sieges and its failure has been real too long time to change the whole border kingdoms and use a faction based modle for border kingdoms somewhat importing the tsw warzones.

    all battlekeeps should be t1 lvl and the pvp tokens coinage to buy/repair balistas/walls/catapults and even hireing npc's to man the walls and aid with siege invasions.

    battlekeeps should be 2 in each zone like border to kush has to simplify a duality faction system for players to adhere, factions dont need to work outside of each zone, they merely give a purpose to players align as merceneries.
    like conan did on his adventures joining a military side as a mercenary.
    but in these zones out of faction should be able to fight all people in zone as ffa "bandit raiders" no rules or need for quests just the existing pyre system would suffice.
    no point of major systems in the zone just 2 faction sides to content for battlekeeps and all others entering can do what the hell they want in a ffa cenario of total chaos.
    random power&curse totems spawning randomly on whole map like in call jebhal sag.

    would be nice if in the future some special forge would be intoduced allowing higher crit chance if items were crafted in these chaos warzones.
    just maybe some capturable towers with a balista for extra capturable places to contend.

    and ofc remove shrines of bori shamefull pve content from aoc permanently.

    poitain, purple lotus swamp, lacheish plains
    something wich worked in rp-pvp servers and failed a bit in pvp servers was guild vs guild hatred and competitiveness.
    these zones where guild cities stand could harbor potencialy some great pvp content.

    conan in his adventures was also a thief.

    allow tagging system for guilds to tag some guilds as enemies hence allowing in these zones for guild based offensive pvp to happen in the form of murdering enemy guild members and destroying oposite guilds buildings and to infiltrate by ladders or lockpicking or mere stealth inside guild cities
    would be great to have even a thieves guild or a bandits guild faction to have some ladders working as consumable items for use in here buyable with pvp tokens, and even some skill/quest based lockpicking progression like atlantean language learnet step by step but using lockpick consumable items relying on rolls to determine if door would open or not.

    add guilds ability to issue offensive kill "x" players of "y" guild and kill guild leader & officers quests.
    also add steal items inside guild cities both for solo thieves and oposing guilds.

    inside guild cities some non relevant building should be made destructible for pvp objectives, so oposing guilds could issue sabotage destruction quests against each other.

    also you can integrate all existing factions ingame by adding possibility to place tents of each faction with a representative npc from each faction issuing pvp quest to destroy oposite faction tents in enemy guild cities.

    guild cities could easily harmonize to be pvp centerpieces for thievery and guild rivalry.

    pvp player rankings
    no one cares about guild rankings whole system is fail.
    adapt it for showing top 20 players each week who did most kills and achieved most pvp quests/objectives completed
    with adjacent tabs for each class to have a top 10.
    to promote players competing each other on a weekly basis.
    with top ranking players getting some side banners to his name tag somewhat like you guys have in tsw.
    with player with most kills getting 2 red skulls beside his nametag


    last but not least is granting pvp tokens a new meaning, both in warzones to spend on aiding npc's and war weapons, but also for blue crit rating potions and other potions alike, aa prowess potions, and maybe even small non game breaking stat increase magic tattoo's with small pvp life tap/mana/energy regen in small amounts; with later on adding new combo ranks/spell ranks and fatalities to be bought with pvp tokens.
    and more importantly:
    add evade immunity increase for side step, evasion, active blocking; simply pvp mechanics need a boost with increase evasion mechanics to add more dynamic and even more skill to fighting.
    let these increases be exclusively working for pvp so they dont interfer with pve

    overall these changes are ment to fully integrate pvp in aoc without having diferent servers wich make no sense given they have no pvp content just extremely unfair and unenjoyable environment wich leads to people not enjoy pvp at all.
    from low lvl players getting rez farmed by lvl 80's to lvl80's just trying to do quests or reach instance for raid/dungeon getting stopped.
    and ofc to increase available pvp content to be broad enough to encompass all players to be rewarding and fair and adjusted and to finaly fix gear/aa gap.

    criticism welcomed.

    I disagree with most points here, but I do see Bori as a big problem in PVP. There is no easy fix to that now, but the system at the beginning seemed great.
    • Remove daily rewards and the raid finder;
    • remove membership bonuses;
    • disable PVE XP for daily challenges;
    • remove WBs forever on Crom;
    • slow down the AA gain;
    • lower the PVP XP gain or remove the streak system;
    • remove AoE looting;
    • add the missing mobs back to Khesh., F. of the Dead, and Eigl. Mount.;
    • fix the 250+ms ping;
    • take the key away from Saddur;
    • revert T3, T3.5 (10.21.15), T4 (10.21.15), and GGG changes;
    • remove energy and add skills (like taunt) back.

    Noite has had several great suggestions...these ideas really would put some life back in this game and draw people back.
