Each priest took their seat at the council table. The atmosphere was electric.

Never before had the Royal Houses of Stygia been of one heart.

Never before had the council been unanimous.

Stygia would unite under one banner.

The noble houses would act as one for all matters of national interest.

Satet-ka rose from his chair and looked into each priests' eyes. Some had branded him a traitor in the past, others declared him a hertic, many had sought to destroy him, now they sought to confirm and anoint him High Priest. The mantle was truly heavy. His captivity had galvanized the country. It was as Set had spoken.

"Noble houses! Stygia is finally whole. Now the glorious work begins! Nothing will stop our destiny. The chosen are ready to lead all creation from darkness!"

Victory reports were flooding into the prophet. Each day dozens of new loyalists and barbarian merceneries were heeding the call. Some were a bit rough indeed, but the Prophet was determined to strike fear into the heart of his enemy and pay back those that had attempted to harm him and Stygia.

Fear is the weapon of choice now!

The Viking's body was strewn across the lavender hills of the wildlands. The rebels had utterly destroyed it. The forsaken of stygia had left a clear message. Blood dripped from the petals as the War Prophet began to quickly form a pyre. He took only the heart of his friend in a canopic jar. This mans loyalty to Stygia would be reborn in a more divine form. The next vessel of his spirit would be of Stygian birth.

The enemy warriors along with the aid of Azmiths men forced Satet-ka north at a brutal pace. Cut off from Stygia and outnumbered the retreat path was unsure. Cradling the jar in his hand and moving quickly with Setneka, Tuco and Rose the prophet made his way to the docks of the yellow river setting sail for Nemedia and his Damorian allies.

The generals of the two nations met to dicuss the situation in Hyboria and determind it was time to seek out their ancient allies in Khitai. An expiditionary force led by Satet-ka himself set sail across the Vilayet sea to the steps of Hyrkania and prepared to cross the uncrossable mountain range of Khitai.

Soon the sorcery of their ancient brethren would be at their disposal and the enemies of Stygia brought to their knees!

For six years sitting alone
still as a snake
in a stalk of bamboo

((eos has merged under warmongers to add rp side to their pvp/pve guild and cause they are cool and organized. The rp for this surrounds general Xephos. Ooc ill be overseas until mid July and need the stygian effort cared for. I still consider wartribe my only ally and acos/order/imperium prime enemies in that order. Warmongers is commuted to adopting our rp and aa such ill be recruiting for the rp side of that guild. i will miss everyone. ill still be active on chat))

Neverlin strolled down the hot street of Khemi and came across another of the offending posters. With a flick of his wrist he gestured to Laylia and then the poster.

The young apprentice groaned and took out her quill and ink to "correct" the Amaroq's proclimation:

Amaroq of Clan Blackclaw is seeking young eunuchs for an upcoming public shower. Eunuchs must be able to handle large men during shower and sodomy ceremony. Payment will be five gold per person.

She was almost there now. She could see the gates hanging from the now crumbling walls. She stopped and caught her breath as she gazed with sadness over the weed choked grounds. The lush green bushes she had planted so long ago were now withered brown stumps. She sighed softly and straightened her back for the last few steps to her final destination.

Her hair was more white now than the vivid red of her youth. Her face deeply etched with the now frequent physical pain she bore far more easily than the other pain...the pain of loss. She carefully picked her way up the crumbling stone staircase and into the large chamber.

The hole in the ceiling was wider and the stones pitted and filled with debris. The wooden shutters on the window were no longer attached and she could see the road she had traveled through the opening. It was the same road she had watched him ride down so very long ago. It was the road she watched for his return day after day, month after month.

Her hand reached for the amulet around her neck but it was no longer there it had gone cold long ago and was the last thing she had sold to buy her way home. Home to Serenus where she had been happy. Her vast collection of coin and jewels had been sold off one by one to pay for the search and any information of his whereabouts. She had combed the four corners of Hyboria for him...or any news. She grimaced as another slash of pain shot through her. It would not be long now.

She turned toward the now ruined bed where only the fleas and mice nested in the deep furs. The mammoth fur he had brought her as his first gift. It will be her shroud she thought as she sank softly in it's embrace.

The room was quiet she could hear only the sound of her ragged breathing as she waited for the night and the moon to rise over the walls. That same moon they had laughed under, danced under and loved under so long ago.

She could hear her heart slow and the pain recede in to the distance. One word spilled from her lips and she softly smiled,

"Beloved".

And then there was silence.
