Mercenary (PVE/RP)

Despite her lack of height, she has the look of a cimmerian, but the deep red hair belies a possible mixture of vanir or maybe aquilonian. One cannot be sure, but her garb is unmistakeably that of a bear shaman. She unabashedly meets the gaze of others as she presses her way through the crowd, almost as if she dares someone to take issue with her being there, and then she vanishes among the people.*

The sign she posted holds an eye catching script, carefully chosen to grab one's attention, and reads as follows:

New to Hyborea or just returning after a long voyage away? Not sure if vanishing as just another number in the ranks of a huge organization is what you want to do yet? Maybe you should start with something smaller. After all, everyone crawls before they run.

Mercenary is looking for mature, motivated, active, and diligent members to help swell its ranks. Mercenary is a recently formed legion of men and women from all walks of life and from all nations, who no longer see eye to eye with their former rulers in their lands, and have thus sworn to sell their sword to the highest bidder.

Mercenary is a PVE/RP guild with no focus on one being more important than the other. Although the guild has an in character back story and embraces those who wish to rp, it is not specifically just an rp guild, and as long as the childish remarks about rp being a non-heterosexual activity are avoided, everyone can get along. Non-RP players will not be forced into RP, and many of the RP Players do wish to see the same game content as the Non-RPers. Roleplayed dungeon runs would always be scheduled, so that preferably, only the RPers go on those runs, but the same dungeons will be offered as pure PVE content without RP just as often.

We haven't determined yet what our role will be in the PvP scheme of things, but there are many of us who are interested in being active in PvP, even if it's just tearing things up in Bori or Minis. The PvP minded player might also find some kindred spirits in Mercenary.

If you are interested in enlisting with a guild where you actually matter, and where you are more than just another number for that Wednesday night raid, Mercenary might be the place for you.
