could not connect to patch server

i've replaced local xml but it says that some files(simbols) are missing...and yes it is eu vesrion of xml file...

you didnt do it right
I had that error (with symbol) when i copy pasted it in word,something wrong about the formatting, just edit that xml file with notepad and paste the code,youll be allright

anways,i've tried this,it wasnt the .xml file.

Email support will take a couple days, if not a week. So its really worthless to bother asking them as much as the mods think otherwise.

I would replace the LocalConfig.xml data again. I don't have the link to the list at work, but it should be on this forum somewhere.

If that doesn't work, run Conanpatcher.exe as administrator, and make sure the Awesomium.exe process is not being blocked, this controls the item shop. Also make sure your windows is up to date and date/time are correct.

tried it all,none of it is working.
My firewall is off,i run conanpatcher.exe as admin,my avast antivirus is off,my windows is up to date,and ofc my date/time is correct.

also my firefox and IE have proxy off, i've even tried port forwarding of ports 7000-7099 TCP.

also here's a log from the install dir.
It sheds some light to where to problem is,I just cannot solve it.

Also I've tried veryfing the database in Steam (since i downloaded it through steam) and all checked out ok. I dont believe Steam would have ''wrong'' files ,I just cant connect to patch servers..

Maybe the steam has a special one. I used that exact link last week to change one of my US installs to EU. When I get home, I'll check the LocalConfig on the steam install I have.

Thanks! It helps,we can atleast eliminate some stuff I guess.

Oh yeah,I wouldnt use Steam for AOC but I had to...Because AOC install (from their site) is 19mb large (its conan patcher basically which downloads all of the game through the patcher client and AOC servers). But since I can't connect to the patch server I cant actually download anything. Steam has its own servers so i managed to download all of the game. Also, when u click play AOC Unchained in Steam,it just starts the patcher,it doesnt go through steam,so I guess steam version is NO different than regular one,it just downloads the game through steam servers ,it still patches and starts regularly through conanpatcher.exe
