Yes spiking to 4800 ms and dcing from server every 1 hour is a massive improvement from spiking to 220 ms every 30 secs \o/ !

Really depends on your provider and your location I guess. Being from Germany myself and using dreadful T-com I have a ping between 120 and 150 usually.

I have 130-150 from Sweden. Sometimes people rubberband but it is usually OK.
Did a siege the other day. About 200-250 and more playable then ever. No spikes.Didn't even bother to decrease graphics. So sieges are better.

One issue is that 3 players in a team can get lagspike simultaniously while some opponents kills them without lag.

Without some serious spikes i have no major problems with ping playing from Sweden, melee or caster.

From Croatia i have usually around 200 in minis with slight jumps up, its harder to play melee now, specially since i experience some slight delays on turning around.

It all comes down to what drives people forward in game and why they stay.
I stayed in AoC because I liked getting new gear. And Im not alone. But I like PvP, not PvE.

And you all can talk about what right and what is wrong in PvP.

"Real PvPers dont care about gear, only skill count" is as valid as "Real PvPers like the challenge of killing a better geared player" or "Real PvP ers dont whine when they get killed by players with T4 weapons"

So I tried with the new server location, playing PvP from Norway is currently not possible. Lags everwhere. Just logging into the game is noticbly slower.

Will try again after "optimizations". Currently unsubbed. First time ever Im very frustrated over how they treat PvP and majority of playerbase (euros).

Horrible latency (250-450) with several spikes of 1k-2k

I want to refresh thread a bit... for 6 years had better and worse pings/game performance (crashes etc.) but since you implemented t5 I just simply can't play it... pings go to 4,8k all the time I'm stuck in a lag and after 5 minutes I watch all fight in ff motion and if I'm not a one that causes wipe I die anyway and I'm no use to raid leader so most likely I'll be chosen less often to participate in those raids which is not what I'm paying for...Problem is I'm not getting dc at all I have to wait and game unfreezes but this can take up to 30mins (which RL will wait this much ? )So instead I have to kill the process and restart game again, but this is just temporary solution as first battle starts I get lag after ~30secs in fight and since then I can be render useless. Playing from Ireland (fibre broadband 120Mbit from UPC but as far I know guild mate uses different provider - Eircom, has more or less same issues... hating Irish Funcom :P ?)

looks pretty fine on paper but... there is something and my router/firewall/antivirus has nothing to do with it as signal flows entire way just on some point it looks like it is stuck....Tried to switch off antivirus, restarted router still cr*p. Any help appreciated. If u know how to check it more drastically I'm all ears.
