Stuck in The phoenix of the south

I have the following problem:

This afternoon i went in to the instance and collected the lotus flowers needed, i used them on the corpse and went down to kill the blood defiler. It was to strong so i used path of asura to get out.

Now i came back for a second attempt. The instance was reset but the quest was not. The blood defiler was frozen again, cant attack it. I cant start the quest over since its my main quest.

What should i do?
