    Default Arena System: A New Way to PvP

    Its basically a round circle , with two adjoining rooms and stadium seating.

    +Before each match the two opposing teams get to enter the "locker rooms" and equip themselves with any item that the locker room provides.. all current gear will be made inactive.

    +People are allowed to place bets with each other before each round.

    +The arena itself will have 3 settings. Plain arena (couple of rocks to hide behind maybe a small pond in the middle). Booby trapped.. adds random traps (mines on the ground) that explode when stepped on or ensnares a victim. Death room .. adds booby traps and random level 85 mobs like lions/snakes/Picts etc.

    + 9 rounds total to claim total victory and move up in the leaderboards.

    + Winners on top of the leaderboards gets a random raid purple drop or khitai blues/purples from PvE depending on the number of teams on the leaderboards.

    You could even have customizeable rules and different arenas in different lands!
    Each arena could have some kind of "faction renown" where success in "sports" or gladiatorial events will get rewarded.

    Most arenas are even already ingame...imagine the "field of the dead" arena, the armsman tavern arena, the sailors den, the tesso tunnel theatre, some modified khopshef caravanserei etc. etc.

    Agreed with everything here minus one point. You should not be granted PVE gear as a reward since chances are pvpers won't care. I think the leader should be granted a set of PVP T3 armor that looks much different. This would make it so that there isn't more of a gear gap than there already is(Because you're not changing the stats of the current gear) and it would be easy to see that your the leader rather than having generic Khitai blues/purples

    The arena system is such an easy change I don't understand why it isn't already in the game. I would throw money at funcom if something like this could be implemented

    This sounds like Soul Calibur or street fighter.
