Dashing out some good DPS with this one.
Improved Burning Skull hits pretty good for being pure passive AoE.
Buffed HFB since its my main dps spell.
Improvements are appriciated!
My hox is only 3 days old and its my first hox ever.


Anything i should consider changing?

Im quite sure that build has been posted in this thread already.
You should drop 2 Points in Butcher to get Wrath of Xotli though.
The pulsing damage from your transformations is a huge part of your DPS (~8%). So 1 point in Wrath of Xotli equals 1.3% more damage which is a good investment regarding one talent point.
The same holds true for Burning Skull as you already stated. Improved Burning Skull parses for 2-3% of your overall damage, again for a mere 1 point.
Also imo being able to stun is enough and increasing the time of the stun is not essential so you can free up two points there, as Mana can be an issue frequently using Exultation, Root, Flame Lash (let alone riddle 6(?) at Zodiac) they could either go to Fury of Xotli (good one point wonder) and Hellfire Feast or plain to Xotlis Vengeance (for a tinsy bit more damage) or to Undying Glory if one tends to die a lot.

But then again i prefer the Searing Hatred/Butcher Specc(possibly with Inferno Curse), but that's already been discussed in this post.

Just 1 minute ago I did 1800 DPS on Zodiac with selective parsing.

Probably raid grouping and shorter fights. As the Zodiac encounter gets shorter, HoX will look better, I bet.

Did some big changes to my build, getting much higher DPS.

Just got 1480 DPS on Palace HM. Still missing legs, cape, shoulders, neck items and some AA, got RSOX. With all in place and some more practise on the new rotation ill pass the 1500 mark easy.

Gonna try this one too when i get home. Why not one point in Searing Curse? I just loose 6% mana drain while morphed..No problem really. It will still improve DPS.

In raids you shouldnt be using MSS, so there's no point in skilling Searing Curses. Also i can't see how Reaching Flames could possibly improve your singlesarget-DPS other than gaining faster flametonge-stacks eg. hitting essences at Zodiac.
One "can" run low on mana with frequent use of Exultation but for me one point in either Xotli's Vengeance or Hellfire Feast prove sufficient, so I'd rather hand these points to Xotli's Vengeance.

I think mss is faster to have in the rotation than a second HS!

Yes, Searing Hatred is great, free (in terms of time) added DPS. On multi-mob fights, wow, it'll start moving to the top of your parse. With a couple AA points in PoIF cooldown, you can keep it up 100%. And a PoIF/Searing Hatred build is only an extra feat point or so over going Butcher instead.

You aren't able to keep up with mana via pots?

Anyway, while I suspect situational debuffing is underrated when it comes to 6-mans with a group that doesn't have a necro/ToS/etc, I still feel like you'd get a lot more DPS overall by putting that point elsewhere than Searing Curse.

Hi Heralds. I need your help.

I recently took my HoX out the hell he was resting for a while to show him some blood and love again. But I'm pretty fed up & tired of the "classic" Avatar build and want to hybridize more with possession. I know Avatar build is a very nice and steady DPS improvement, but since I don't plan to play him again in raid or that much in group (don't have much time, I when I have it, I play raid with other toon), I don't really care that much about the a perfectly optimized stream of DPS. I plan to grind a bit faction in solo from time to time and I would like to change my habits a bit and test other thing. I remember when I played with the Tongue and the Chain of Anguish, it was kind of fun.

So thanks to the awesome possibily of dual-specs, I would like to try other builds. This is my base structure of what I plan to do : http://goo.gl/Luny9

I still have 12 points to spend and I have no clue on what would be the best.

Go for searing hatred and play as much with PoIF as possible ? In that case, I will have to choose a bit between Butcher, Wrath of Xotli and the Improvend Burned Skull (never really been of fan of this last feat) because I won't be able to fill all these.

Let down Searing and the Pillar cooldown reduction and go Butcher + Wrath ? In that case : Yay ! Five point to put somewhere else, but where ? I could take inferno in possession but solo-wise, is it still worthing ? I mean, I agree it's kind of awesome at 10 lash stack for long fight or surrounded by mob, but in solo, aren't the fight to short ? And what about Burning words ? I know it's like a never-used feat, so I suppose it's kind of crappy at 80, but when I was leveling it was fun to use. Laughing as the rooted mobs where burning was kind of awesome. The DoT wasn't THAT bad at the time, but at lvl80+, I never really tested it, since I switched to Avatar build and I didn't had the point to feat it.

Or should I remove point from Phoenix Wing ?

In short, any thought are more than welcome, just tell me what should I avoid or not, and what is both fun and efficient. Thanks a lot
