Besides climbing and running, do the other skills come into play in PvE? Should I be keeping up on perception and hiding?

I like the idea, and what little I have played of a HoX so far. I know alot of people love them in PvP, but how do they stack up in PvE? Are the good in endgame, and solo stuff?

Is it possible, in PvE, to play a more pet focused necromancer? Is it viable in endgame?

How do Necromancers play out at PvE endgame? Raids, faction, grinding, etc.

I should have said that I am mainly looking at PvE right now. Might do PvP, but not for some time.

I am fairly new to playing the game, but not other MMOs. Does anyone know of any guides around for necromancers? Once that are still valid for the current version of the game?
