Cannot start the game anymore

After the last update I can't start the game anymore. The patcher stops at step 2/4 "Updating local files".
It starts downloading but when it reaches the last 8 files to download it just stops there.
I've even tried a completely new installation but the result is the same.

Anybody else having the same problem?

Were you trying to download the game during the two hour hotfix this morning (8:30 am PST)?

Looking at the time of his post, it was before that.

As for the problem, I have heard of similar things happening to people, but I can't remember what they did to fix it. You might try submitting a support ticket to Funcom.

It was earlier, but I found the issue: there was a freaking trojan continuosly redirecting the IE proxy connection settings, presumably to try to send connection data to outside entity.

Guess I should thank Funcom, they allowed me to detect the virus :P
