i was asking around on general chat
and about a dozen other people were experiencing this problem
so, out of nowhere the game is really choppy (AS IF i had an outdated graphic card or system) just out of the blue!!
i've only seen one post on the forums about this
i figured i'd bring more attention to this just to let you all know
This may or may not have anything to do with what you're experiencing but I'll toss it out there just in case.
If you're running AoC in windowed mode it will have an odd stutter or choppiness to it, even though it may be running at 50 plus fps, unless you alt tab to some other program then back to AoC. I usually use Notepad.

.(not sarcasm).
the above problem and fix apparently works for both Age of Conan and The Secret World (seems to be Dreamworld Engine issue)
