anyone know what it means when that little diamond at the base of the round minimap flashes? It's annoying not knowing what that is...
It has to do with if you are in shadows or not, the darker it gets the less you are seen by enemies.

The light meter is the small jewel embedded just below your overview map. It indicates the depth of shadows; a bright jewel indicates you are standing in light, a dark jewel shows you are concealed by deep shadows.
It is used for hiding.

This HUD feedback is most certainly working as intended. If you keep it dark/black, you can f.eks solo sneak down into Onyx, walk right past/through mobs and complete quests -without fighting anything!
