That page has always been like that. I don't think they changed anything there since pre-launch days; the same list of 8 monsters, referring to Yaremka as Yakema, etc. I guess that it's either a typo or, who knows, maybe the boss was initially intended to be named Yakema and they renamed him to Yaremka at some point during development but never got around to updating the web page.
We've always been at war with Yakema.
It's fixed now. If you have anything else on the website that needs fixing, let me now so I can report it :)
Here's something from the game that ought to be corrected: the Brythunian Calvary Axe should be changed to Brythunian Cavalry Axe. Cavalry are soldiers that ride horses into battle. Calvary is a hill in Jerusalem where thieves and religious dissidents will be executed by the Romans, some ten millennia after Conan's time.Quote:

In English, it says:
"His tales are known as legend and fable all over Hyboria."
The word "fable" was translated as "Fabel" in German. That would be correct for one meaning of "fable" in English. Fable has two uses in English: one similar to "myth" and one meaning a story about animals teaching you a lesson. In German, only the latter meaning is used. Saying that Conan's actions are now known as "Fabeln" in German says that his adventures are now told as animal stories. Which is weird in a pre-furry, pre-anime setting.

Misspelling. It's "Straßen".

"Schlussendlich" is supposed to translate "eventually". It is correct, but a very weird wording. "schließlich" would be idiomatic German.

Formal errors. Commas (one each! ;-)) should be placed at the indicated spots.

"nenne" should be "nennen". Also, the sentence has become very long and complicated - it is a word-by-word translation and gramatically correct, but it doesn't sound idiomatic. Also, the "sogar" (translating "even") is placed weirdly. I think the "even" refers to holding his heart longer in English, but it refers to his heart (as in contrast to his balls, his cup or his sword) in German. Weird sentence.
"Fussstapfen"
Correct spelling is "Fußstapfen". If the type set does not include a "ß", a word like that should be avoided; a triple letter can be formally okay, but looks just plain wrong to most readers.

Correct spelling is "anzuschließen".
Some names, abilities and other prominent features have been translated incorrectly or have a misleading meaning in German. For example, Kern Wolfeye is called "Kern Wolfauge" on the German language site. Colloquial spelling would be "Wolfsauge" (with a "s" binding Wolf and Auge). Emitting that "s" is not formally incorrect, but only common in very specific settings, i. e. the army, and often ridiculed in other contexts because it leads to words being almost unpronouncable.
Idiotic, grammar Nazi style critique about an article eight years old? Yes. But grammar is important to the Nazi party. Also, these weird translations continue to this day, and make Funcom announcements pretty hilarious in German.
I had a good laugh reading the animal story. :laugh: I thought tho that double s is correct for about 10+ years now just to get rid of scharfes s.*

All this German translation remarks are correct, but minor and to be neglected compared to:
In German the new achievement titles - only the very new ones from the arena - are shown incorrectly in a gamebreaking manner. As you may know there is always a masculine and a feminine version in the German language. With the old titles all is ok - if you have a male character you get the masculine version of the title.
BUT the new titles are shown in German ingame on your character as"[if=m] then Der Brutale [if=f] then Die Brutale" or smth like that. Ill make a screenshot and will show you. Its just obviously a hastily done error.
Contrary to popular belief, the "ß" was not abolished, but its use reduced to the proper places. In short, after short vowels, there always is a double S (e. g. "gefasst"), whereas in the former way, there sometimes was an "ß" for no particular reason (e. g. "gefaßt" if I remember correctly). That was removed (for good reason), but it still remains after long vowels (e. g. "schließen").Quote:
