As far as I understood, the TL thread about removing K/D was started by a PvPer, and most people who posted there in favour of removing it are also PvPers.
Face it, hardly any of the bad decisions FC took in relation to PvP in this game can be blamed on PvEers:
* Bori: was cooked up by FC themselves. Initial feedback from PvPers who tested is was even not so bad (because it took people some time to realise that handholding was more efficient than fighting);
* Ridiculously slow vertical power progression: was cooked up by FC themselves, in order to keep people playing without having to release content;
* Fail revamps: can be blamed to a large part on PvPers giving self-interested feedback to devs with little to no clue about the game;
* Removal of group signups: there was a lot of QQ about premades stomping PUGs on the old forums, but at least as much from people who played on PvP servers (where "pro premades" were more frequent) than by people who played on PvE servers.
The whole "PvEers vs PvPers" rant is silly. No point blaming the community for bad decisions taken by FC.
Also, casuals and PvPers who want to play competitively have pretty much the same interests:
* Get rid of vertical gear & AA progression;
* Allow group signups;
* Implement more (and more meaningful) stats to allow players to measure their progress.
