Would there be any way to change the default casting bar to have no top and bottom border, same with energy bar?
I copied default files from Gui/Default:
timerbar.tga to Gui/Customized/gfx/GUIcomponents/bar,
bar_energy_background.tga to Gui/Customized/gfx/PortraitGUI
and then i edited those images using GIMP to delete top and bottom border (had to add alpha channel to energy bar).
However the changes do not show up in game. Did i edit wrong files?
You need to copy CommandTimerBar.xml from default to customized and then edit it to point to your images :)
E.G:
bg_gfx="../../Customized/gfx/GUIcomponents/bar/YourCastBarBackground.tga"
as far as i know, there is no way to customise the energy bar =(
There is one actually, but it is very limited. You can't change the shape of the object at all, but you could change the color for example. The energy bar is in one of the textureatlas .dds files. Can't remember whitch one though ^^
In addition you would need Sifie's tool aoc.exe to use your .dds file.
In short, it's not worth the effort hehe
i meant easy xml manipulation :p
